Product description

Globe Electric's pack of four 25W Vintage Edison CA-type Flame Tip Incandescent Filament Light Bulb with E12 base is the perfect bulb to add an old-world feeling to your chandelier. In the early days of electrical lighting, inventors such as Thomas Edison tested and retested as they searched for long-burning filaments. In 1890, the filament choice was carbonized cotton. Today Globe Electric’s bulbs have a tungsten filament, which is used to reproduce the single hairpin loop of a vintage design. This Edison inspired bulb is a Steampunk favorite with its glowing cage-shaped filament surrounding a central glass support. The 25W incandescent bulb has a goldish amber tint which can vary from light to medium and produces a nice warm light that is recommended for exposed socket fixtures. These bulbs can be dimmed and have a lifespan of 3000 hours.

    I installed these light bulbs in a front porch light that could take three of these type of lights. They provide plenty of light for my entry way on my house and have a vintage type filament. They look great! The only thing that was disappointing was that 鶹 sent this package of light bulbs in a bubble mailer envelope. One of the bulbs had a dented base and wouldn't work, so I had to throw one of the four light bulbs away in this pack. 鶹 should really know to send light bulbs in a box! Nevertheless, I will see how long these light bulbs last and probably will purchase again.

    I put these in a 3 light lamppost I installed in my front yard in October 2014. It is now July 2015, that light is on for at least a few hours almost every night and I haven't had to buy more bulbs yet. One bulb died a month or two ago, so I switched it out with the 1 that I had left (I bought a pack of 4 bulbs, it's a 3 light lamp). That's still pretty decent lifespan in my book.

    I tried a couple different types of bulbs in the lamppost before trying these ones. I'm glad I finally stumbled across these because they are perfect! They provide plenty of light without being obnoxious or blinding, they have a lovely warm color and they look cool.
