The Gila Complete Application Kit works on any window film product for your home. It's easy to install and has long-lasting results.

No need to mix or measure; the Gila Application Solution is ready-to-use. Just spray directly onto the glass to keep the surface clean and slick for your window film application.

We've anticipated your project needs and done our best to meet them. Each Gila Installation Kit comes with a bottle of Gila Application Solution, a rubber squeegee, lint-free cloth, and a trim tool to cut your films to a desired size.

This step is important. The cleaner your windows, the better your final results will be. Start by spraying your entire window with the included Gila Application Solution. As you go, don't forget to pay close attention to the inner corners. Then, generously spray your window with the application solution for a second time and use the included rubber squeegee to get it squeaky clean. Wipe the window, corners, and frame dry with the low-lint cloth.

Measure your window from top to bottom and left to right. Cut the film one inch larger than your window measurements on each side. The excess will be trimmed later for a better fit. Unroll the film on a clean, flat surface. Flip the roll, so the outside of the film is facing up. Measure and cut using a ruler. Next, add a 1 to 2-inch piece of clear tape to each side of one corner of the film. Fold over the ends of the tape, press the tape pieces together and pull apart to separate the film and discard the liner Leave the tape in place.

Generously spray your window with the Gila Application Solution. Then, pick up the film by the top two corners and carefully lay the wet side against the wet glass. Keep the top edge level with the outer edges overlapping the frame - the film will flow smoothly on the glass. If you have the film's original factory edge, you can align it with the window edge, so you won't need to trim that side.

Uniformly spray the film to wet the outside surface to prepare it for further smoothing. Look for air bubbles more than a few inches across and smooth them out the side with your hand. Set the film in place and firmly squeegee the film starting from the center, from top to bottom. Next, Start at the top of the window and squeegee horizontally, pushing from the center to one side, stopping about 2 inches short of the window frame. Continue overlapping strokes until you get to the bottom of the window and repeat on the opposite side.

Before trimming away excess film and window edges, take the rubber squeegee from the application kit and press along with the outside frame of the window. The film should be pressed well into the corners. Now remove the safety cap from the green cutting tool and place the blade at the corner of the window frame. Carefully cut away excess film by pulling down and away from the corner. When you're 5 to 6 inches away from the next corner, stop, turn the tool 180 degrees, place it firmly into the corner, and trim to meet the place where you stopped.

After the edges are completely trimmed, respray the window with Gila Application Solution, covering it well. Use the squeegee to seal it in place, working in overlapping strokes from the middle out. To dry and aid in curing, wrap the rubber squeegee in one layer of low-lint cloth and use it to push remaining moisture out between the window and film starting each stroked 3 inches or so in. Rotate to a dry section after every few strokes. Finally, wipe the window clean.
