    Other than that, amazingly written. There are people who say there is no plot, it's just sex and rape. I have been through a lot of what this girl has and worse in some ways and not as bad in others, I actually found closure in reading this. It was hard and I have a lot to work through but I kind of wonder if there was a reason for this book. I read this on Kindle and just bought the paperback. I read this and Ruthless Beauty in less than a week. When I needed a break from one, I switched to the other.

    I loved the ending and it is one I have been craving forever! I noticed almost all books that have a revenge scene, the women either do it fast and are satisfied with that, their men do it for them, or the author finds another way to wipe them out in a way that does not feel satisfying. Like falling off a balcony after a couple of shots. For me, it's the same as when the guy is helping to work towards something and at the last second he pops, only to lay back and smile like he did a good job. This author knows revenge! She does it right! This! This is the HEA I wanted!

    Thank you for doing your job amazingly well. I bought the paperback and will be reading it again. Me buying the paperback is an amazing compliment. It means I loved it enough to commit to reading it again in the way I prefer. And not just reading it one more time. I wouldn't waste money on just once more. This is a new favourite. Like I said, it helped. Thank you.

    Check your triggers before reading this one, I can take a lot, but even for myself, some of the scenes were a bit much. This book focuses mainly on spicy scenes between our characters and has about 5% of the plot.

    There's a lot of sex in this one. Every chapter includes some form of spicy act, and it gets redundant. I found myself skipping most of the scenes near the end as I wanted to get back on with the plot. The characters' beautiful art is a huge plus to the book.

    Harlow is broken and can't go on with her life, she's made choices that she's come to regret. She finds herself at an abandoned house where three vengeful spirits lay in wait for her.

    With Ghosts of Halloween, new-to-me author Layla Fae has written not only a fascinating and original ghost story but also a dark why choose romance full of triggers. Some readers might not appreciate that the book has more smut than plot and simple characters and themes, but I found it to be an entertaining and thought-provoking read, and it got me in the mood for Halloween. As I read, I became invested in the complicated and evolving relationships between the MCs, and even though I wasn't sure how it would ever work, about halfway through the book, I wanted an HEA for Harlow, Jack, Caden, and Silas, who I realized needed each other to overcome their grief, rage, and traumas to find love and peace. I look forward to reading Ghosts of Halloween again the next time I'm in the mood for a fun and unique Halloween-themed PNR.

    I wasn’t sure how I would do with this book. The triggers were immense and themes were as dark as they come. But my goodness this book was absolutely delicious. Layla Far had such a way with words. I was spellbound and completely besotted. The spice was phenomenal and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. There were so many layers. The reverse harem, the mysterious circumstances surrounding the deaths and deep seated self hatred. But the redemption was so worth the wait. I’m so glad I read this, despite my initial reservations I absolutely loved it.

    As a hetero, I’ve never found M/M romance/smut interesting - until I read this book. Holy hell, it’s incredibly juicy and oh so smutty good. Interested in a sex marathon? Get this book. Internal dialogues were good and characters developed nicely. All the main characters were lovable. The extra HEA Christmas special seemed unnecessary and I wasn’t a fan, but that’s just my opinion

    The best dub-con Scenes I’ve read so far.. most authors don’t get the fine difference between dub-con and non-con (or they just write a very kinky smut scene and call it dub), but this was excellent imo!

    It’s very VERY smutty and VERY gory but I loved every second of it. The opposite of clean talk was 😙👌🏼 chefs kiss!!!
    There were scenes sooo good. When Jack …ehm.. holds her against the wall and Caden is watching and Jack turns invisible so Caden can better watch??? Holy moly 😃

    Personally I’m not a fan of age gap, but in this case it was very well written. I liked that Caden fell in love with her that night and not before, so I didn’t get weird “she was a child you perv” thoughts I most of the time get when I read this trope.

    I also really liked the MM scenes!! They were a main part of the story and to that extent that was a first for me. Other authors write maaaaaaybe one detailed MM scene, this one gifted me half a book 🫶🏼

    PLEASE read the TWs, the “removing from this earth” TW is a major component of the story and happens multiple times in the book and should not be taken lightly!

    The whole story part is very short, I would say maybe 20% of the book is about the plot, the rest is .. ehm.. bedroom fun. Or in this case Haunted House Fun 😸 so don’t expect too much!

    Im going to buy the Paperback for my little library so ai can have a physical copy for my collection 🥰

    I run to read this book before Halloween. It sure wasn’t what I thought it was at the beginning haha, it has actual ghosts in the story, when I read all the triggers I wasn’t even sure what to expect but as I kept reading I just put it down. Harlow is a beautiful girl who lost his arm on an accident and have a prosthetic. Caden, Jack and Silas are her brother best friends and her protectors/ghosts. They thought they wanted revenge for a mistake she did, but they figure out that she is as lost as they are in this world and develop a bond with her (all three of them). Together they try to heal wounds from the past and make a future together.
