The usefulness of this set was two-fold for our household... On the one hand we have a child that requires sensory toys as a regular part of his play; and on the other hand, my wife teaches a class that has a trivia event each week as a part of the learning curriculum. So this set was a win-win product for us all around. The buttons feel solid, but still quite comfortable to interact with (much like an "easy" button, if you remember those), and the sounds & lighting are very responsive when tapped. I appreciate the difference sounds effects as well, since many kits such as this only offer the same sound for each buzzer. It would been nice if batteries were included in the package, and a volume control could have been beneficial as well -- especially when our kids are playing with them -- but overall these sensory buttons met most of our expectations. We even found ways to incorporate them into existing board games around the house, so you can get pretty creative with the buttons if you want to. It's true that these might not be loud enough to use at an outdoor event amongst a crowd of people, but for smaller gatherings indoors (or a backyard) I found these buzzers worked rather well for the asking price. Recommended.

    I ordered these buzzers for games like trivia, and yesterday I finally got to try them with a bigger group of 20 people.

    Setup was simple- each buzzer takes two AA batteries. That's one downside- batteries are expensive and it would have been nice if these would be recharged.

    Each colour of buzzer has its own light and individual sound. To activate, you simply press on it. I wish there was a rubber or silicone ring on the bottom to keep them from sliding around. I used masking tape and that worked ok, but not ideal.

    The buzzers held up well to a 75-minute game of trivia with players who were not gentle on them. I will say that the sounds/lights have a slight delay that made it harder to judge who was first, so I was relying on watching their hands, too. But the buzzers added some extra fun and excitement to the game overall, so I was pretty happy with the result. I would say that if the room was very big or very noisy, you wouldn't be able to hear them very well.

    Overall, though there is some room for improvement, I'm still happy with these buzzers and will definitely be using them a lot.

    You will need 8 AA batteries (not included) total for these. The batteries in theory should last a long time unless you use these on a regular basis. It does come with a tiny screwdriver to open the battery compartment. Just make sure you do not lose the screw as the cover does not stay attached without it.

    The different colours and sounds make it easy to know who pressed the buzzer first. I do wish there was a volume button. The sounds are actually a little bit annoying after a while if I am being honest.. especially the siren. I get that you want different sounds, but not sure if I would have went with those sound choices.

    This isn't a bad product. It does what it is supposed to do. They are very versatile and you can find many uses for them.

    I ordered this to help with playing some games in my classroom and this worked perfectly! The students were excited to use them and it was much easier to tell who was first (by listening to the sound effects) instead of see who's hands raised up first.

    The buttons are battery operated (you need to put in your own AA batteries) and the great part is that each buzzer makes a different sound - which makes it easier to know which team buzzed in first as well.

    The quality of the buttons is pretty good to be used with children, but I'm not entirely sure if they would hold up to a heavy handed competitive adult.

    I am excited to use these during the holidays with my family when we play some family games. I would definitely recommend this in your classroom if you are hoping to play some in-person team trivia games. Great buy!

    Not impressed. It seems the item might have been used and returned because one of the buzzers didn’t work at all. The other possibility is that the product is of bad quality. We shall see with use.
    Another issue is that there are no screws to hold the batteries firmly shut and the battery compartment can be opened very easily by a child… safety zero…

    The first set I bought last week, from a different manufacturer, looked most pleasing, but the small screws of the battery cover were a nightmare to remove. I have a set of about 36 small screwdriver heads with a single handle, but it took ages to get the screws out - I just gave up in the end when one just would not come out at all, having managed to get it halfway. I returned it and now have this set. Each buzzer can be turned off if needed, which is a good thing! There are four corner screws which remain fixed. The battery cover has a removable tab and no screw itself is present although the adjacent area is imprinted on the plastic itself with a screwdriver, and the box with a print of a screwdriver and a necessary screw. It seems one must need to provide a tiny screw to fit into this tab to secure the two AA batteries from small children. Maybe most of these models have problems with tiny screws. I’m not going to run around with them to a hardware shop to find ones that work, so will only use the buzzers with small grandchildren (4,6 and 7) under supervision, and keep them at my place where I can watch their use. The tab on the battery cover is very easy to flip open and no screws were included with the box.
