1. The main unit and the remote sensor must be within 60m/200ft of each other. 2. Make sure both units are placed at least 1m/3ft away from electronics that may interfere with the wireless communication (such as TV, microwave, computer, radio, etc). 3. Do not use heavy-duty or rechargeable batteries. The outdoor sensor requires lithium batteries in low-temperature conditions. Cold temperatures would cause alkaline batteries to work improperly. 4. Do not mix old and new batteries. 5. Make sure there's no water or other liquid in the sensor.

I have been wanting a weather station for a bit, as all the apps seem to disagree with each other, even mine to my husbands, even when its the same app with the same setting.

Before I get started, things to note are as follows:
- I'm not sure if the 'forecast' function is telling you what the weather is like now, in the next couple hours or for tomorrow.
- Features some people may want that are not included with this unit (and are not supposed to be included) are: no wind, no high or low temperature predictions, no 'feels like' temperature.

Pros:
- Weather station runs on either plugged power or battery (outdoor sensor is battery only)
- Clear display
- Three different brightness settings (high, low, off)
- Multifunctional as clock and weather station (even has alarms and alerts, although personally won't be making use of)

Cons:
- Set up is not clear
- No included instructions for the outdoor sensor set up (although referred to it in the troubleshooting section) so took some unnecessary fiddling to get it to work, its not as simple as put batteries in
- Outdoor sensor takes awhile to acclimate to outside, it continued to read the indoor temperature/humidity for awhile before settling into the outdoor reading
- No plug in option for the outdoor sensor (we get down to below -40 on the super cold days and batteries will die relentlessly at this temperature). This was an expected product feature though!! I have also chatted with family about their unit of a different brand, and their sensor is also battery operated and holds up just fine at their winter lows of -20C. So to be determined.
- No included wall block for the USB plug

I love this little weather station. It has a large, bright screen with easy to read display and vibrant neon colored numbering in a bold font style that is easy to see, especially for seniors. This weather station has a full plastic body, but the materials feel durable and high quality. There are a few control buttons on the bottom front for basic functions and weather monitoring that makes it simple to use.

There is a wireless transmitter that reads for this device. The transmitter has a long range of 200 feet, so you can install it outdoors and have your display inside. The transmitter is meant for permanent outdoor use and has a fully water and weather resistant unibody design with a hard plastic casing.

I ordered this product to monitor and keep track of humidity levels and outdoor temperature, but there are also some other minor functions that this device can read as well such as comfort level, dew point, etc. It also has a built-in alarm function as well as calendar and clock.

The outdoor sensor is powered by two AAA batteries, but the indoor weather station itself can be powered permanent with the included power cable which eliminates the need for batteries. You can still use three AAA batteries for the station if you prefer to use this in a more non-permanent location. Great to have options in products like these.

The price is very affordable at around $45.00 CAD at the time of purchase. This device does everything you would need for basic weather monitoring at home, and the build quality and bright display feel like a premium product.

The only thing that I would like to see included in this Geevon Weather Station is an indicator of barometric pressure. And along that line of thought, I would also like to see an indication of the weekly pressure trend so that at a glance, it is apparent whether a change is happening. I would normally mark down the rating score for the lack of this information but everything else displays very well so I am still rating this unit highly. Hopefully in the future and with updated models the software will be updated to include this useful data.
The large, clear, fonts used in the display make everything very easy to see and interpret and I especially like the little illustrative arrows that show whether the temperature and/or the humidity level is or has changed.
I have been using this now for a little over a week and so far the performance has been both accurate and ALMOST flawless.
The one area of concern I have is that for some reason, on occasion, the screen will dim itself to black and the unit will not reactivate unless it is unplugged and/or the batteries are removed and re-installed. I did deduct a ratings point for this behaviour as in addition to being annoying, it COULD one day result in more serious display issues.
On the whole , I am very satisfied and happy to recommend this to anyone interested in an informative and very compact, weather station.
