The Geevon Weather Stations Wireless Indoor Outdoor Thermometer is a versatile device that offers a lot of features. While some of the functions, like the alarm clock and temperature alert, aren’t essential for me, the core features it provides are exactly what I was looking for.
Ease of Setup
Setting up the thermometer was pretty straightforward. The instruction sheet is clear, so I didn’t run into any major issues. The one part I struggled with was selecting the correct channel for the outdoor sensor. I tried multiple times and wasn’t entirely sure if I was doing it right, but after a few attempts, I managed to get it working. Not a huge deal, but it could definitely be more intuitive.
Display & Readability
One of the things I really like is the large, easy-to-read display. The numbers are big and clear, so you can easily check the temperature from across the room. It’s perfect for someone who doesn’t want to squint at tiny digits. I also plugged it in to keep the display on all the time instead of relying on the 3AAA batteries, which is great for convenience and saving battery life. I don't mind re-setting the device if I have to unplug it because it’s easy to do.
Functionality
While I’m not using every feature, the core functions — indoor and outdoor temperature readings — are working great. The device does a good job of giving me accurate readings, and it’s been consistent so far. If you’re someone who needs more advanced features like alerts or weather forecasts, it does have those options, but for my needs, it’s perfect as is.
Durability
The build quality seems solid, and I haven’t had any issues with it falling apart or showing signs of wear. It’s compact, lightweight, and doesn’t take up much space, so it’s a nice addition to any room or outdoor area.
Cons
The main downside for me was the channel selection process. It took longer than I expected to figure out how to set it, and the instructions could be a little clearer in this area. Also, if you’re not using all the extra features, you might feel like you’re paying for more than what you need, but that’s a minor concern given the overall value.
