1. The main unit and the remote sensor must be within 200 ft (60m) of each other. 2. Make sure both units are placed at least 3 ft (1m) away from electronics that may interfere with the wireless communication (such as TV, microwave, computer, radio, etc). 3. Do not use heavy-duty or rechargeable batteries. The outdoor sensor requires lithium batteries in low-temperature conditions. Cold temperatures would cause alkaline batteries to work improperly. 4. Do not mix old and new batteries. 5. Make sure there's no water or other liquid in the sensor.

    I have two of these and I'm waiting for a third one, the setup is so simple and takes only a few minutes until the sensor is displayed on the base. I'm waiting for a third sensor to replace the defective sensor that came with the base which is entirely different form the replacement sensors. The sensors themselves can be hard to read but I don't often look at them anyway, I look at the base instead. The channels can be changed on the sensors and well as the temperature reading from C to F, all you need is a paperclip. Because of the original sensor being defective I had to contact customer service, they could not have been more helpful and for that they get an additional star, they really were easy to deal with and responded in a timely manner. I am happy with the products I've purchased from this company.

    I bought a Geevon Digital Indoor Outdoor Thermometer in January 2021 and it worked fine until the end of last year, when the light on the outdoor remote went from flashing intermittently when it was working to staying on all the time. That meant it was getting through a pair of AAA batteries every week instead of lasting for months, and then the light wouldn’t come on at all and no temperature was being registered. The main unit indoors was still working fine, and as the whole thing had cost just £20 it didn’t seem worth trying to get the remote repaired by the German makers, so I looked for a replacement remote. Ones like the one that had failed were no longer on sale, so I took a chance that this slightly more expensive and larger Geevon one with a digital readout would work with the unit and maybe be longer lasting. I was pleased when it paired straight away with the base unit and it has worked well ever since, housed in an old, lidded peanut butter tub that I placed in a bush so that the device isn’t on the ground and is in a vertical position, as suggested by the information provided with the main unit.
