This is the only rack you will ever need... at least until you decide to go taller.

The 10 inch rack form factor has taken off in recent years and rightly so as it is the perfect size for a Homelab. There are entire communities dedicated to mini racks and plenty of mounting options for all types of hardware via 3D printing so you can't go wrong.

In order to get started on your mini rack journey you need to pick a rack. This one is very well made. It is strong and sturdy and I can't find a reason to fault it. It also looks very nice on a shelf. I found that the 4U model was the perfect size and it fits nicely into shelving units such as the Ikea Kallax/Expedit.

The only issue I found was a missing rubber foot but GeeekPi were very supportive and a week later I had a replacement straight from the factory.
