My sons ride on was too slow, so we upgraded the car with this 24V motor and gearbox kit, and the results have been great. These motors are rated at 24V but I've undervolted at 20V using a dewalt battery. They provided an excellent speed and torque boost, easily handling varied terrain like grass and hills that were previously a struggle. Undervolting may be contributing to their longevity as they've been running without any signs of strain or overheating. After multiple uses, the motors remain cool to the touch. The gearbox runs smoothly, albeit with a little extra noise. Installation was straightforward, just used basic tools and the provided clips make it fool proof. Before you close it up do check that the roation of the tires is correct, mine had one going forward one reverse so I had to reverse the clip on leads on the reversed motor.Overall, this upgrade has transformed the ride-on into a more powerful and fun experience for my kids. Highly recommended for parents looking to boost their childs ride-on.
