Some of the welded metal folds that make up the product are visible from the outside to make the inside smooth, but this is a utility. Overall a well made product, but time will tell how strong it is. Looks fine and would recommend it for storing are carrying bike are other small tools.At ca$149.99 it is not the cheapest tool box, but usually one gets what one pays for.
