    This works ok for ripping Romex, just doesn't work well for cutting the sheathing off or stripping wires. Blade isn't changeable either, as far as I can tell.

    Got to get the hang of how to use this tool, but once you do it works great. The best way to use it is to hold the electric cable flat against a hard surface and insert it into this stripper then simply slide the tool down so that the tiny cutter blade cuts the middle of the outer cable lengthwise. Then just pull it off and cut it with anything that will cut it. Never used one of these before. It does such a neat job.

    I was an electrician and cable splicer at National Grid so I was used to Nuclear Grade tools so sure I am fussy. The cutting blade could have been German steel which would have allowed this tool to track or travel better while stripping the jackets.
