    For more than a decade, Stoppy, our garbage disposal stopper got a little disfigured. While Stoppy did the job, he was misshapen and quite moldy and stinky.     I purchased this magnetic garbage disposal stopper replacement and was initially very happy with it. It fit my disposal unit perfectly, and the magnetic function worked just like the original—stopping and starting the disposal without any issues.

    However, after a few weeks of regular use, a small plastic piece broke off. It’s still usable for now, but I’m a bit disappointed in the durability. I expected it to last longer, especially given how often it's used in a typical kitchen.

    Decent product overall, but could use stronger construction.

    This is my second purchase of this item in the past few years. The design of the stopper is not very sturdy, so it always cracks in the same spot and has to be replaced. This is a knockoff of Insinkerator’s design, but they have to model it in the original so it will function, so it’s Insinkerator’s design flaw that causes the problem. Maybe I need to set up a biennial Auto-ship 😛.
