I've been using the Godox AD200 for years and it has been a very dependable workhorse. It's powerful and compact enough that I keep two in my camera bag at all times. I shoot a lot of on-site portraits and I often shoot real estate photos with them. My only reservations about the unit have been addressed. I use the bare bulb head for the hair light in my headshots. A modeling light would've been nice and now, it has one. Secondly, the slide switch on the side of the previous units would sometimes be moved during travel and I'd find that the battery was low or depleted. Now, with the two-step power up process, that's no longer an issue. Lastly, the display on the rear of the unit was very dim and almost impossible to read in daylight which is where these units are often used. No more because they replaced the display with a very bright and easy to read display. I also bought the round flash heads as they give a nice, even light. They utilize the Godox magnetic modifiers and filters too. Using the round heads and the diffuser dome modifier in outdoor situation works as well, if not better, than using umbrellas. The domes won't catch the breezes like an umbrella would too. Kudos to Godox on a wonderful product made even better.
