    Even though I probably should have had a torque screwdriver before now (for electrical work), this is the first one I have used. It looks like the price for all brands has come down quite a bit, so I decided it was time to buy one. This brand and model had good reviews, so I decided to try it. I narrowed the possibilities down to two - this one, and a similar screwdriver made by Wiha since I know it to be a good brand. The reason I chose this one is because it has a standard size shank (1/4") and the Wiha doesn't. That one requires an adapter in order to use 1/4" driver bits, and that's one more thing to have to keep up with. I'm not disappointed that I chose the Gearwrench. It feels very solid and sturdy, and it's got some nice weight to it. Also, it came with a calibration certificate, which can be important with some inspectors. It is in a cylindrical case (that I didn't realize was included), so its storage takes up less space than a lot of the flat cases I have seen. It has ample room to store not just the screwdriver, but also a good quantity of driver bits. The driver bits aren't included, but I've got plenty of them, and since they are standard size, they work just dandy. In case there is any doubt. this is a *torque* screwdriver, not a *torx* screwdriver, although it would certainly be able to use torx bits if that is what you need.
