The thin material allows the scent to come through, the sewing along the edge that holds the string was adequate to keep the string right at the top, and they are just the right size for little sachets.

Don't overfill them though, they're not going to be very durable. I'm not sure I'll use all 50 for quite some time so it's likely going to be a one or two time purchase unless I have another project in mind besides more sachets and replacing the ones I've made when they've lived their life.

Arrived in just a couple of days. I want to use them for lavender sachets in drawers to repel moths. Fabric weave should be fine for that - lavender buds will not escape, or come in contact with clothes, but weave is open enough for good breathability to circulate fragrance in the drawer. Strings are frayed, but will stay tied. They arrived in good condition, but I wash everything before using to freshen them up and remove any lingering factory or shipping odors. Suggestion to wash before using - put them in a lingerie bag big enough to give them some room to spread out and wash on hand wash or delicate setting. I put them in the dryer on the delicate setting. They will come out wrinkled, but they didn't seem to shrink and it is easy enough to flatten them back into shape. After washing and drying the length was almost 4 inches and the width was 3 inches. Their shape will return once you fill them.

I used some of these to make lavender sachets. It is supposed to be used for tea leaves etc. I think I would wash it first and then put grated ginger in it to make ginger tea. If I bought loose leaf tea then I could use this for tea too. I think these could be reused a few times. I would recommend these bags.
