    Second, the attached battery box came with a faulty wire, so I cannot use it with batteries. I use the USB so generally not an issue.

She is 9 and was able to do almost the whole project alone but I mainly helped out doing the wiring .It is a great way to spend time with your kids to talk etc. and get them away from a screen. However…the drawback is the price!

    What is better:

    The integrated lighting system is phenomenal. Everything worked and was hidden by special bricks and other clever way to disguise the wires. It looks amazing with the lights out.

    Instructions were just as good if not better as they highlight where the bricks are placed. Manual was very professionally done.

    There are no stickers… yay! They make a lot of special bricks with graphics printed right on the brick. Really nice.

    They seem to put a lot more little extras into the scenes. The rooms seem more complete.

    All the pieces were there! It’s one thing we love about Lego. Missing pieces are the worst and this set was complete with all the pieces.

    Last thing I’ll mention was brick quality. There is only the slightest difference in the “snap” quality. But frankly only the most experienced builders will notice. Overall the bricks are very nice.

    I’ll be buying a lot more of this product. A+.
