Friday the 13th Collection

Must have for any fan of the franchise. Really complete boxset, amazing throughout, and unbelievable 4K scans. Read a lot of comments about issues with the boxset coming in with scratched up discs or smudges, for my part every single disc in the set were squeaky clean, absolutely pristine. And as for the other sounds issues, I personally didn’t notice anything.

    This has all the movies with other editions of some of the movies such as the original Friday the 13th with an uncut version, Jason Goes to Hell original and Uncut version of that movie as well. This also has a collection booklet and extras Blu Ray to wet your appetite as well. If you love the Friday the 13th franchise, this is for you. This is the Mecca/Shangri-la/Heaven for all the movies rolled into one. I love the artwork on the box: awesome to display on your shelf.

    Incredible box set for the fans to own, inheard about some flaws with the audio track being off in Jason X, and other flaws in some of the flicks, but to me j didnt see anything flaws in the set I got, all the packaging and the box its self is amazing I really enjoy the art work around the box with all the variations of Jason including his moms head, I recently just completed watching the set a few days after launch and I am very satisfied with the quality of each scan, I will be revisiting the set just to mainly watch the extras as some did come with extra scenes that were too distraught for the original release of the flicks I beleive Friday the 13th part 1 had the salvaged scene not too sure but I know some did have extra scenes that did not make the big screen or the VHS/DVD, either way great set to own and get this box before its gone or the price gets raised because the amount is limited worldwide.

    My set did not have any damage on it so I am very pleased with that.

    Superb collection, highly recommended to all fans, especially for the stereoscopic 3D release of the third film! But word of caution - ordered this in September 2023 yet still contained the three slightly-flawed original releases. If you really care about a couple extremely quick hard-to-notice issues (look them up) then make sure to request replacements from shout factory.

    I grew up with these films and have owned them on multiple formats over the decades. (VHS, DVD, BLU) I also still own the previous WB tin box. Picture and sound quality on the Shout factory set is probably the best these movies have ever looked (although, I always found part 3 to be blurry, probably cause of the original 3d cameras used) also loaded with special features. I commend Shout factory on their love of this franchise and aesthetically the set looks awesome on your shelf.

    But, like others I received Jason Goes To Hell with the missing gore shot on the uncut version. I have yet to checkout Jason X's audio drop.

    With others complaining of the same disc issues and discs being misplaced or scratched ( I got lucky on that one) maybe holding out might be a good idea for some. I will gladly update my review, once Shout Factory provides replacement discs for JGTH and the other issues.

    At some point the quality control department got a little mismanaged and that's something to consider when buying this set. I still thinks its a great collection, but for the money being spent, one expects perfection in disc authoring and quality control.

    I'd say buy, but exercise caution.

    J'ai été un fan de la collection à l'époque. Bien qu'elle n'est pas nécessairement bien vieillie, je pense que ce coffret est un bel item à avoir à sa collection. Beaucoup de matériel extra intéressant à visionner. 15 BluRay dans une belle boîte qui n'Est pas trop volumineuse. J'ai même reçu un avertissement du fabriquant qui a pris la peine d'aviser qu'il y avait des problèmes avec certains de coffret de cette série. C'est une belle attention d'avoir passé cet avertissement! J'ai pris la peine de passer à travers les BluRay et les miens fonctionnent à la perfection. Content donc de mon achat!

    Bel packaging, buona la qualità video, pur essendo master molto vecchi e già di bassa qualità all'origine, la shout è riuscita a fare un buon lavoro, peccato per il suono mono per i primi film, ma più di tanto non si può pretendere. La seconda versione delle cover a mio avviso è praticamente inutile.
    Da non dimenticare che c'è tutto quello riguarda Jason, compresi i film più recenti, freddy Vs jason ed il reboot friday the 13th 2009. Elogio al venditore che si è prestato a darmi intero supporto per una transazione veloce professionale ed amichevole.

    O box é maravilhoso, a qualidade de som e imagem dos filmes está impecável, do 1 ao 4 com novas restaurações em 4k e do 5 em diante mesmo não sendo nova restauração ainda assim estão com mais qualidade que as edições anteriores... E o melhor de tudo é que cada filme está em seu respectivo disco, nada de 2 filmes no mesmo blu-ray. Além de tudo isso ainda temos um farto material extra. Recomendo!!!!!

    EN, voor het eerst ook Friday the 13th 3 in real 3D!!!

    Helaas is 鶹 niet echt handig in het zorgvuldig verpakken en versturen van dit soort redelijk zware en kwetsbare items waardoor de mooie artsy omdoos aan alle hoeken beschadigd aankwam en 3 discdoosjes kapot waren.

    Hiervoor heb ik wél een vergoeding gekregen, waarvoor ik bij de uitgever Screamfactory in Amerika een vervangende omdoos en discdoosjes kon bestellen.
