Extra Protection For Those Tricky FreeStyle Libre 2 Sensors!
So, those who wear a FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor have had some sort of issue related to water/sweat, catching them on a door frame, or taking a hoodie off. Most times this results in a sensor becoming unusable, and with the price of them, that can add up. I used to have that thin waterproof "skin" for emergencies, but when I saw these, I wanted to try them as an addition to my sensor car routine. Now the cool thing is the centre isn't sticky, so you can remove the patch and redo one without ripping out your sensor! I did give it only a 4-star because I feel the size of both the whole cover and the centre part could be a bit smaller, but overall, this is great! I do not feel any difference on my skin or notice it at all, like you would a band-aid and having the extra protection is great to have when you need to keep wounds cleaner as a diabetic. Thanks, Adamson, for letting me check these out!

    If you’re living with a Freestyle Libre 2 sensor, you know the struggle is real—finding a cover that actually sticks, doesn’t irritate your skin, and won’t peel off after a swim or a sweaty workout. Enter the “Freestyle Libre 2 Covers Waterproof – 45 Libre 2 Sensor Covers” in beige. I gave these a solid couple of weeks of real-life testing: gym sessions, showers, a couple of dips in the pool, and just day-to-day wear.

    First Impressions
    The box comes packed with 45 sensor covers, which is a big plus if you’re changing them out regularly. They look pretty simple, but that’s the point—they blend in, and the beige color is neutral enough for most skin tones.

    Application & Comfort
    Applying these covers is about as easy as it gets. No wrestling with sticky edges or weird folds. The best part? There’s no glue on the center, so your sensor stays gunk-free. I have sensitive skin and usually dread adhesives, but these didn’t leave a rash or any sticky residue. Even after sweaty runs and showers, I didn’t get that itchy, burning feeling some cheaper covers cause.

    How Well Do They Stick?
    Honestly, I was skeptical about the “waterproof” claim. But after three pool sessions and plenty of showers, these covers held on tight without peeling or loosening. For daily use, they lasted about 5-7 days before the edges started to curl a bit—still better than most I’ve tried.

    Removal
    When it’s time to swap, they peel off easily with no pain and, crucially, no tugging on the sensor. That’s a win.

    Any Downsides?
    Not really. If I’m nitpicking, the beige colour might not match everyone’s skin, and I’d love to see more shades. But that’s about it.

    Final Verdict
    If you’re looking for a sensor cover that actually lives up to its promises—waterproof, gentle, and easy to use—these are worth every penny. No more worrying about your sensor falling off mid-swim or during a sweaty game of tennis.

    Why not a perfect 5? I just want a few more colour options. Otherwise, these are as good as it gets.

    ✅ Sticks very well (with proper preparation)

    ✅ Provides protection against accidentally knocking your Libre 2 sensor off

    ✅ Can be easily replaced while leaving sensor in place.

    ❌ Not as easy to get the patch centered on the sensor (can’t see through the material)

    Impressions:

    I feel that these do protect your Libre 2 sensors better than the clear plastic patches that I have been using.

    I usually shave the area and wash with soap and water prior to applying both the sensor and the protective cover.

    After a week plus of wear and 3 showers the front edge of the patch was starting to roll back, I continued to wear it for the full 2 weeks that the sensor was installed.

    Adhesive didn’t irritate my skin.

    These work as well or better than any of the other styles of patches that I have tried.

    This review is for the 45 pack of Freestyle Libre 2 Waterproof Covers by Adamson

    I have been sourcing and buying Libre 2 CGM sensor covers for well over a year now and have tried several of the varieties available on 鶹. These are the best that I have come across.

    They are easier to put on than the ones with the full plastic cover on the top. While these ones are fabric topped and most others are plastic, this one is not covered by a silly plastic top which you have to peel off after the patch is applied over the CGM sensor and invariably starts to pull up the patch glue, or tears the patch, or pulls it off the skin where it bunches, or catches on itself and usually you end up with a mess. I was having so much trouble with those types that I could never do it myself as I was wasting approximately 75% of the patches with application issues. My wife even had troubles as someone doing it FOR me.

    These patches are actually easy to apply, even solo. The back has four plastic sections that peel off. I remove the two middle sections (around the non-stick circle where the CGM sensor is centered) and place it over the CGM, then peel the other two sides and press down to smooth it out.

    A splash or two of water will bead up and off the patch, however due to the nature of the patch being mostly fabric on top, it will take on some water in a full shower or if you fully submerge it. That said , the patch still stays on for days afterward, not ruining the bonds of the adhesive that is on the back side (the side that adheres to your skin.)

    Good value for the asking price, good adhesion, and a great find! Highly recommended.

    The sensor covers fit very nicely over the freestyle libre. It is not as easy as you may think to get covers for the freestyle,as some may fit, but not hold well, or may not fit at all.

    This particular brand does fit and we have had not problems with them fitting or fraying on the ends. My husband likes to work outside in his garden and has had covers in the past that have come off because it was too hot outside and he got water on them. Not so with these.

    They work real well,

    I have to admit though, if it were up to him to put them on by himself, he would have a hard time getting the material to lie flat all the way around, but I usually put them on, so it is no trouble. They are easy to apply and easy to remove.

    The material is great. We have purchased some that have a different type of material that seems to attract moisture, and they come off within a day or two. These are lasting a minimum of one week, and most last up to the two weeks advertised.

    We will be purchasing these again. At the current price of $7.99 for 45 patches, you just can't pass them up.

    If you have a Freestyle Libre 2, this would be a good deal for you too. I would highly recommend that you purchase them.

    These are great covers that adhere well to the skin. I had been using a different type which were terrible for sticking to the skin.

    These covers were much better and not as fiddly to pop on like some I have used in the past.

    I generally only use mine for the first couple of days and the cover lasted for the time I needed it - even in the shower.

    The material is like a plaster/band aid and has a non-adhesive middle piece that goes over the sensor.

    Ma belle-mère utilise ces patchs pour protéger son capteur de diabète et elle trouve que la protection est bien là. Emme apprécie le fait qu’ils soient étanches : elle peut prendre sa douche ou faire ses séances de balnéo sans avoir à s’inquiéter du capteur.
    Elle trouve aussi qu’ils sont doux pour la peau et surtout qu’ils sont vraiment confortables à porter. Ils sont sans colle au centre ce qui évite d’abîmer le capteur au moment du retrait et de laisser des traces.
    La pose est simple et rapide et une fois en place, elle trouve qu’ils tiennent bien.et surtout qu’ils sont discrets. Ces protections lui apportent une tranquillité d’esprit, elle recommande.

    Compré estos parches para una amiga diabética que usa el sensor Freestyle Libre 2, y le están funcionando bastante bien. Son fáciles de poner y no irritan la piel, lo mejor es que resisten la ducha, el deporte y el día a día sin despegarse.

    Lo positivo: se adaptan bien al sensor, duran casi toda la semana y le han permitido seguir con normalidad incluso al nadar o entrenar.

    Lo que hay que tener en cuenta: a veces el adhesivo afloja en los bordes antes de tiempo, por lo que hay que presionarlos bien al colocarlos. También, para que no moleste, recomienda no presionar sobre el sensor mismo, solo sobre la piel.

    En resumen: una solución práctica y discreta para proteger el sensor y evitar que se despegue, ideal para quienes llevan una vida activa. Si le cuidas bien la aplicación, hacen bien su trabajo.
