this is a nice addition to an older car. the screen is very good and worked well for me. the backup camera was included and had all the wires, etc needed to install it. you do have to wire it into your reverse light to use the backup camera. i wish there was an always on option for the backup camera and a way to avoid wiring into my reverse light. i was able to test with android auto and it worked well for me.

So far this seems like a good purchase. I appreciate that the wires exit the device on the right side, so away from the driver’s side. Most others I researched had the wires on the left side. I use the AUX input and the sound is better than when the phone was connected via USB (our car is a 2015 base model, so it has some modern features but no CarPlay). The display is bright and sharp, the touch screen is responsive, and maps work perfectly. Since we do have a rudimentary backup camera I probably won’t go to the effort to install this one. The only things I don’t like are that the wires are pretty long and I’m still figuring out how to best keep them out of the way, and the mount has detents that prevent you from fine tuning the positioning. I suppose this is necessary or else it might not be stable. Neither of these merit deducting a star. I chose this over others that were quite a bit less expensive, often heavily discounted and I think I know why—they all had a proportion of reviews that identified significant issues. I’ll update this if any of those issues crop up on this unit, but for now I’m happy.

The rear view camera took me about a half hour to install with neatly tucking away the wiring underneath the door moldings and mounting the rear camera on the back of my car just above the license plate I was able to connect the audio with the auxiliary cable because my factory radio doesn’t support Bluetooth but the radio has a very large display screen and connects to my phone with the apple carplay app. It can also connect with android auto app for android users. My phone automatically connects now when I start my car so I don’t have to go through my phone and connect it each time I get in the car.
