Formas de volver a casa habla de la generación de quienes, como dice el narrador, aprendían a leer o a dibujar mientras sus padres se convertían en cómplices o víctimas de la dictadura de Augusto Pinochet. La esperada tercera novela de Alejandro Zambra muestra el Chile de mediados de los años ochenta a partir de la vida de un niño de nueve años.

El autor apunta a la necesidad de una literatura de los hijos, de una mirada que haga frente a las versiones oficiales. Pero no se trata sólo de matar al padre si no también de entender realmente lo que sucedía en esos años. Por eso la novela desnuda su propia construcción, a través de un diario en que el escritor registra sus dudas, sus propósitos y también cómo influye, en su trabajo, la inquietante presencia de una mujer.

Con precisión y melancolía, Zambra reflexiona sobre el pasado y el presente de Chile. Formas de volver a casa es la novela más personal de uno de los mejores narradores de las nuevas generaciones. About the Author

Né en 1975 à Santiago du Chili, Alejandro Zambra est professeur de littérature. Son premier roman, Bonsaï, publié en 2006, a été traduit dans plus de dix langues et a reçu de nombreux prix littéraires. L’adaptation cinématographique du livre, réalisée par Cristian Jimenez a été sélectionné à Cannes en 2011 (Un certain regard). En 2010, Zambra a été désigné par la revue Granta comme l’un des meilleurs jeunes auteurs de langue hispanophone aux côtés de Lucía Puenzo ou Pablo Gutiérrez. Après deux livres publiés chez Rivages, Alejandro Zambra rejoint les Éditions de l’Olivier. Il est le premier auteur hispanophone de notre catalogue.

Se trata de la niñez del autor en el Chile de Pinochet, de la relación o mas bien la falta de relación de este con sus padres en un nivel. En un nivel mas profundo se trata de la conformidad de los padres ante la dictadura, cosa que acaba finalmente de apartarlo de ellos. Volver a casa. El autor vuelve a una casa que ya no le pertenece. Su amiga, la hija de Raul, vuelve del extranjero. Eme, la ex-mujer del autor, trata de volver con el, pero ambos se dan cuenta que es imposible volver. A las amigas de nuestro club les gusto este libro, a mi también.

Es la primera novela de Alejandro Zambra que leo, pero definitivamente no será la última.
