1) a) Some people might find this tray to be too big to use in the back of a small car, such as, Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, and Mazda3.
1) b) When using the tray in the back of my Mazda3, it takes up all of the space.
1) c) So, I believe this would be a temporary installation for me in the back of my Mazda3. Not something that I leave there all the time.
2) a) There is a "drink holder" on the right side.
2) b) This holder is extremely small. It won't even fit my thin Zojirushi water bottle. See attached pictures 1 and 2.
2) c) Fortunately, this round holder can fold down and you don't have to use it. See attached picture 3.
3) a) See product picture 1. There is a hole on the front of the tray.
3) b) When you fold the tray upwards, there is a tab that this hole connects to. See attached pictures 4 and 5.
3) c) See attached picture 6 to see how the tab locks into the hole.
3) d) If you do not lock the tray then the tray will just fall back down onto your lap.
3) e) The instructions does not talk about this tray lock.
3) f) Before folding the tray upwards, you have to lower the whole unit to it's lowest position (hopefully, the tray does not hit your lap). Otherwise, the tab will not line up with the hole because the hole will be too high up.
3) g) Again, the instructions does not talk about this. I had to figure it out.
4) a) The instructions does not talk about the 2 side trays that extend out to the left and right. See product pictures 1 and 2.
4) b) So, I completely forgot to try the trays.
5) a) The phone holder does not rotate. So, it can only hold your phone in portrait mode.
5) b) The phone holder is pretty tight because the spring is really strong.
5) c) For reference, I have a OnePlus 11 with a thick case.
6) a) You won't be able to use this tray while driving because the whole tray is going to be bouncing up and down.
6) b) I knew this before receiving this tray but others may not realize this.
7) I took off 1 star for the terrible instructions and the useless round part on the drink holder.
I can recommend this tray for your backseat if you need a tray. It is very handy when you want to eat a meal in the backseat.
