    The stock fill valve and flapper on my Kohler Cimmaron were over 10 years old and in need of replacement. I bought this combination kit, as I was familiar with the performance of other Fluidmaster products. Installation was straightforward, typical of other Fluidmaster products. Adjustments were as advertised, easily made with desired effects. That being said, I could detect no marked increase in the PerforMAX fill valve’s ability to fill the tank after a flush. Admittedly, I didn’t use a stopwatch with the factory fill valve and compare it to this one… it’s just a fairly frequent occurrence, and I found this fill valve filled the tank with speed comparable to the factory’s fill valve.

    What can I say about a toilet part? A lot, actually! We were unlucky enough to have two commodes malfunction simultaneously. One kept running after being flushed, and the other was unpredictable. We ordered one of these floats to see if it fixed the problem and to my extreme delight, were able to install it ourselves reasonably quickly. The new tank flapper stayed sealed and the tank filled up. Encouraged, we ordered a second one, and things were flowing normally again! This is a great value, especially compared to the price of calling a plumber. If we were out of our depth, we’d have had to seek professional help, but this provided a simple solution.
