First, to pay full retail is crazy, look for open box.
When it got here the only reason it was lower priced is the outside of the box had a tear in it like it was pushed up against a sharp item, I was kinda worried at first it was damaged, but when we opened it, zero issues in fact the tear was the outer layer of cardboard only, inside all was well.
This is now replacing another counter top appliance, our Nin*a foodie which works well enough but we mostly air cook/crisp and the dimensions of this are smaller than the round unit we replaced it with.
Interior of the cook pan is a tad bigger, love the center divider and we've now used it a handful of times both with and without, super easy to remove as well.
On the bottom you get a steel grate, tip...it takes a bit more push force to install it so when pushing down, use a tad more force and it literally 'pops' into place.
One item of concern is the interior of the cook pan itself, to keep things from sticking they clearly used Teflon and we all know that is no bueno for your brain health, great for cleaning up long-term reports are pretty clear about using that stuff, so bear that in mind and to the maker, hopefully you find a far better alternative.
That said, cooking times are near to the other unit we replaced with this, but the hopper is bigger so IMHO and about as deep.
A chicken took a tad bit less but crispness was awesome and the potatoes (did smash potatoes) were unreal good oh and pork-chops weren't dry, perfectly moist. That's one meal out of about 11 we've done so far.
Time/temp cooking adjustments are plentiful, there are presetting's we've used and they work well but this thing is far too easy to program.
Clean up is easy, everything comes out, warm soapy water and we got a tip from an online video, 1/8 filled with warm soapy water put back in the unit and turn on for 5-minutes and it's like a countertop dishwasher, when it was done we dumped it out, wiped it out and viola!
Only beef I have...on the back of the unit, the power transformer sticks out about 2" + and is non removeable and if you store this in a cupboard, that's the only issue area. I'm guessing on V2.0, they will make a removeable power transformer cable as I can already see ours bending.
Other than that, we like it a lot we're taking it to the cabin as well and may get another one to leave there.
