    I hand trim a large Laurel hedge but can only do the sides and get landscapers to trim/level the top. These hedge shears make the job go quickly and work well on the smaller branches but do not have a notch to cut the bigger branches so I still need my old shears by my side. These are much bigger then my old shears which means they cut faster but are heavier so I cannot work as long as they fatigue my arms quickly when trimming over head. They work fine and should last a long time.

    The tool seems well-made and sturdy. The blades are sharp and they cut well. I'm not using them on a hedge, rather, long bladed leaves on some flowers my daughter planted. The Clipper handle them well, except if there is something else growing up within the leaves that is sort of 'twiggy,' then the blades get hung-up. I remember that these things used to be more robust when I was a kid. Oh well, they should get the job done, which is all that matters.

From my perspective, the riveted fulcrums are replaced with a quality self-locking nut to bolt connection. The blade steel is tool grade and remains easy to sharpen back to razor edge.
