    I can see why this axe has a cult following. Splits logs and cuts trees like butter. What a step up over the last axe I had. The only annoying part of it was not Fiskars' fault, it was 鶹 who stuck their UPC codes all over the axe head and made it a nightmare to scrape it all off. Especially annoying when you can see that Fiskars went through the effort of paying extra for expensive labels on the axe that peel off nicely in one go.

    This axe is a good chopper. Every swing it takes deep bites and it doesn't tend to get stuck. The axe is light, which makes it good for transportation but reduces its efficacy a bit. You can compensate by putting in a little more speed; this is made easy by the weight being almost all in the head.

    I wish the handle was a few inches longer, but I knew it would be the length it is when I bought, I just didn't realise how it would impact me. If you're used to working with a full-size axe, don't believe the people who say a shorter one is better, especially if you chop larger trees (I fell a 20-inch diameter birch with this axe).

    The main problem I found, and the reason I taking away a star, is the handle width/thickness. It does feel small in the hands. If you have smaller hands, that might be good for you, but if you have big man hands, you'll find it tiring to hold. I should have expected this problem since I had a similar one with a Fiskars bush knife. On the knife, I wrapped rope around the handle to thicken it and I forgot about it, but this is not really an option for an axe where your hands need to be able to slide on it.
