Personally not a big fisher, haven't done it in years, but I've had my Dad and brother use it, and s they've been hooking fish left and right these days, my dad loves it because he can take it with him when he drives for work, and then he can check out some spots he sees throughout the day. So it's very convenient, my Brother just loves it in general, they said even the bait it came with was a higher quality then they were expecting. They've had no problems so far, it's held up with all the fishing they do. The only thing Is, I wish it came with another bag for the 2nd fishing rod.
But TL;DR : Great option for a gift or to take on a trip, can handle some serious fishing usage and is super convenient to carry.

I will start by the rods are actually decent. The reels can be 5050. 1 reel has a loose bail on it which popped out of the bailer arm while i was teasting its functionality. The bears seem smooth in both reels though it doesnt glide continuously. The bail when you want to close it your better off hand closing it vs using the reel crank arm. The drag seems to function rather well. The crank arm is unique, instead of having to unscrew the nut on the opposite side it has a button on the inside of the knuckle which you press and the handle folds over. I can not say ive seen that before very nice touch. The rods are decent for telescopic style. They have a nice whip to them so definitely a good crappy or skillet fish rod. The rods have a small cover with a rubber bungee that covers the tip and eyelets when the pole is collapsed down. The tackle that comes with this kit is pretty basic if even a little below basic but not bad. My main focus was the rods and reels. So i give it a 4 just because of the poor construction when it comes to the bail popping out without any tension on it.

I particularly like this set because it’s a great all-in-one set. You get two poles, two reels, two spools of line, and an assortment of lures and hooks, including weighted hooks. There may be additional gear you want to get such as a line cutter tool, bobbers, or other types of lures you want, but you COULD hit the river and start casting with just this kit, which is pretty impressive.
Setting up the reels, I found them to be good quality. They wind and feed smoothly.
I found some features I don’t remember seeing on previous reels I’ve used. They might be standard, but as a novice I appreciate them—there’s a switch to prevent the reel from running backwards when you want to lock it in place, and there’s a tension adjustment for how hard or easy you want the reel to let line back out, ranging from almost no tension at all to almost completely locked down.
I just can’t find a single thing to complain about here, this is a good quality setup, especially for someone just starting out. I’m glad I ordered it!

A great all in one kit for the casual fisherman or perhaps some visiting grandchildren. Comes with two rods and reels, line, some lures and a handy case to store it all in. I like the way the rods collapse into a convenient size for carrying, but they are certainly not the top quality rods that a serious fisherman or pro would use. Of course, for such a low price I think most folks would understand that at a glance. Again, I think the best use would be for an occasion with visitors and friends just to get outdoors and enjoy nature for a while. For that I think it's a great value.

To start, the bag is decent. Kinda roomy. Fits everything included in this kit with space to spare. Disassembled of course. The reels are 3000 sized for basic, mid grade use for up to 20lb line. The line included is 14 lb white/clear monofilament. The rods are standard mid weight telescoping rods that seem like they will handle most normal fishing at small lakes or rivers, and even some pier or shore fishing in the ocean. Just don't expect large species or alot of depth. The included tackle is below basic, but anyone setting these rods up for use will generally upgrade this tackle before use.
Overall, these rods will be a great item to keep in a truck or trunk for use, as long as you make basic upgrades to tackle and preparations.
