Great for important documents
These are great for important documents such as birth certificates, marriage license, passports, mortgage stuff, etc. The material is sturdy and I feel so much better keeping the important stuff in them. Worth it just for the peace of mind. The smaller pouch fits birth certificates and passports no problem so it's a great size because the bigger one can fit even more.

    The very first thing that I notice when I received these fireproof document bags were the look and feel of the exterior material of the bags. They are shining in appearance and a feel of a strong grip in holding and securing these documents bags in your hand. The material inside the bag is smooth and silky making it easy and convenient to insert and remove your documents and other important items with ease.

    It claims that these document bags are fire and waterproof. So, I put these bags to the test. I put a lighter under them for one minute, and no visible damage was shown, and the bags were unharmed. I was very impressed. So, I do like the fact that they are fire resistant, but I hope I never have to test this in a real-life scenario. I also poured water on them, and for the most part, the material of the bags is waterproof, but if you spill water near and around the zipper area, you will find that water goes through and damages your documents. I didn’t like the outcome, but, fully understand that the zipper area would be very vulnerable to water damage.

    Also, because of the exterior material, these bags accumulate a lot of dust and dirt, but the good news is they are very easy to clean with basic water and/or a cloth and multi-purpose cleaning solution.

    The one thing that I was hoping that these document bags would have that I have seen in other bags is a locking mechanism to secure your documents and valuables but if you’re going to leave these bags in a secure vault or safe, then this added feature may not be necessary.

    Multi-purpose uses:
    • Emergency Preparedness Go Bags,
    • For storing valuable and important documents and leaving them in a Safe or Vault,
    • Transporting documents and valuables with the use of an attach case.

    Overall, they are a good investment for your peace of mind in protecting legal documents and valuables.

    First Look: The 2 Zippered Fireproof Safe Document Bags came in plastic packaging (34 cm x 30 cm x 2 cm).

    The bags are made of fiberglass which is a material that is fire-resistant and waterproof, but isn't necessarily fire-proof. The zippers are heavy-duty. The bags are black on the outside and white on the inside.

    The small bag is 27.6 cm wide x 16 cm high (10 7/8 x 6 1/4"), slightly different than the 11" x 6" on the listing. The larger bag measures 33.2 cm x 25.4 cm (13 1/16 x 10"). The width is slightly smaller than the listing of 13.4" but the height is correct.

    Opinion: The fire & water resistant bags are good for important documents and electronics, but will likely be still damaged if they are in direct flames or high heat. These bags may protect valuables from the water if there is a small fire in the home that is quickly extinguished.

    The dimensions are slightly different than advertised but close. Having two different sizes is handy for different sized items. I am able to put my electronics in a drawer in the smaller one and important documents in a different spot in the larger one.

    The bags are are smooth and don't have any stray pieces of fiberglass sticking out that could make someone itchy or get under the skin. The zippers seem strong & durable. The bags seem well-made.

    I wanted to make sure that in the event of a crisis my family’s most important documents were protected, easily-accessible, and portable. I ordered these fireproof and waterproof bags with that in mind. The product listing seems to be using the terms “waterproof” / “water-resistant” and “fireproof” / “fire-resistant” interchangeably, which they are not.

    The material is comprised of a thick fibreglass and coated in silicone, which gives it a sticky feeling and is probably a sensory-sensitive person’s nightmare. A heavy-duty zipper is used on both bags and the zippers both move smoothly, which is great. There is, however, a small gap when the zipper is closed that would definitely let water in if the pouches were ever to be submerged. So, I would consider these pouches water-resistant rather than waterproof.

    I think the pouches would have benefitted from some reflective markings on them, as they would potentially be a bit difficult to find in the dark of night and in the middle of a crisis, but I suppose that is something the end user could add. Size-wise, the large pouch is perfect for your most important documents (letter size) and is roomy enough to hold a few items, such as passports, birth certificates, marriage certificates, cash, etc.

    I hope I never have to find out if these pouches are truly fire resistant but based on the properties of the bags themselves I think they would do just fine; they would definitely buy your items some time in an emergency and help protect from fire and water.

    Good news, this is a well-made "fire-proof" bag. It's seems to be slightly thicker than the Engpow, which itself seems well made. The zippers pull nicely and the size is well chosen for documents and small electronics.

    The bad news, this, like all "fire-proof" bags, aren't really fire-proof. In direct flame these things are bursting into fire in under a minute, and if they're not igniting they're still getting so hot that something sensitive like electronics are getting toast. It's very easy to find reviews doing just that with all of these fire-proof bags, but don't blame them, blame physics, as you just can't have that much insulation without using exotic materials.

    But they are fire-resistant just enough in ways that could be meaningful if used effectively. Don't have this come into contact with flame, but placing it inside a fire-proof safe will buy more time and keep the contents inside cooler longer. Lots of fireproof safes give "2 hour fireproof ratings" but keep in mind this is usually the time until the contents inside the safe are ~300F or so, around which time paper will still be ok. But electronics tend to be more sensitive and brief visits above 140F+ can be very damaging to LCDs/OLEDS and chips will rapidly degrade much above 200F+. A bag like this inside such a safe should get a greater buffer thanks to the insulation.

    So for $20 is this a good choice for the money? Yes, I say so. Just treat this more as a convenient organizational tool and additional buffer in an already fireproof choice rather than some standalone option. The small bag is well sized for something like a passport or cell phone or a folded birth certificate.

    Questo set di borse portavalori FIREWESS è una scelta eccellente per chi vuole mettere al sicuro documenti, contanti, passaporti e chiavi. Le due dimensioni (34x25 cm e 28x15 cm) sono perfette per adattarsi a diversi usi, sia in casa che in viaggio. I materiali sono robusti, ignifughi e — testati personalmente — davvero super impermeabili: anche in caso di fortissima umidità o contatto diretto con l’acqua, tutto resta asciutto.

    È vero, come segnalato da alcuni, che al tatto la superficie può risultare un po’ appiccicosa, ma se si cerca una protezione reale e affidabile questi sono i compromessi da accettare. E dopo un po’ di utilizzo, sinceramente, non ci si fa nemmeno più caso.

    Facile da chiudere, leggera e compatta, è una soluzione pratica per proteggere ciò che conta davvero. Un prodotto solido e ben pensato. Tanta roba, davvero!

    Ignifughe e resistenti a pioggia e schizzi. Zip non completamente ermetica su tutta la lunghezza

    Ideali per proteggere documenti, contanti, chiavi e passaporti. Ottime nel complesso, ma attenzione alla zip!

    ✅ 𝟭. 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙞 𝙚 𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩à 𝙘𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙩𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙖
    Le borse si presentano ben fatte, con materiali solidi e resistenti. La superficie ha una finitura ignifuga piacevole al tatto e trasmette affidabilità. Le cuciture sono ben eseguite e anche la zip appare robusta (ma con una piccola nota che vedremo più avanti).

    💧 𝟮. 𝙄𝙢𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩à 𝙩𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙖 – 𝙘𝙤𝙣 𝙪𝙣𝙖 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙨𝙖𝙯𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙚
    Ho testato personalmente una delle due borse immergendola completamente in acqua: purtroppo, l'acqua è penetrata all’interno.
    ➡️ 𝙄𝙡 𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙤? Alla fine della zip rimane un piccolo spazio che non si chiude completamente, lasciando passare aria e quindi anche acqua in caso di immersione.

    Detto ciò:

    La superficie è completamente impermeabile a schizzi, pioggia e umidità quotidiana.

    Anche la zip resiste bene agli spruzzi.

    ➡️ 𝘼𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙯𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙚 quindi a non far cadere la borsa completamente in acqua, ma per un uso normale (in borsa, in moto, nello zaino) è assolutamente sicura.

    🔥 𝟯. 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙯𝙖 𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙖𝙢𝙢𝙚 – 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙖 𝙘𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙩𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙞 𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞
    Ho esposto la borsa alla fiamma diretta di un accendino per diversi secondi per testarne la resistenza al calore:
    ✅ Nessun danno interno, nessuna bruciatura o deformazione. Il materiale si comporta davvero bene in caso di esposizione al calore improvviso, come piccoli incendi o scintille.

    📐 𝟰. 𝘿𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙞 𝙥𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙝𝙚 – 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚 𝙥𝙚𝙧 𝙫𝙖𝙧𝙞 𝙪𝙨𝙞
    Il set include:

    Una borsa grande (34x25 cm), ottima per documenti A4, contratti, tablet o cartelle.

    Una borsa più piccola (28x15 cm), che uso personalmente per la carta di circolazione della macchina: entra giusto giusto, perfetta per tenerla al sicuro nel bauletto.

    Nel complesso, un prodotto molto utile e ben fatto, ottimo per viaggi, documenti importanti o anche semplicemente per una maggiore sicurezza domestica.
