A great follow-up to FFVII Remake
This game is a superb follow-up to FFVII Remake. It continues the story of Cloud and company, now in a gorgeous open world filled with adventure and new challenges. The graphic are really impressive, especially when it comes to character models that are very detailed and expressive, helping investing you in the story being told. The only major downside for me was that if you're a completionist like me, you might get burned out before the end because there are a LOT of things to do and a LOT of mini games! Of course, you don't have to do all of them but something to keep in mind if you're someone that likes to 100% their games. Overall, a solid sequel and I'm intrigued to see where the final game in the trilogy goes in a couple years.

    I am about 30 hours into the game so far and I must say that the sequel (Rebirth) is as good as part 1 (Remake/Intergrade). I'm loving all the remake's changes; the Materia system keeps getting more variety, the updated character designs and development are amazing, the music does not get enough credit but its also amazing. The nostalgia, the feels, and most importantly I'm having tons of fun! I was worried that SquareEnix wouldn't be able to deliver on this (part 2) but I was dead wrong. If you're a fan of JRPGs and a fan of the original, I highly recommend picking up Remake/Rebirth. This is what Final Fantasy is supposed to be! Now we need to convince them to remake FF 6, 8, and 9 for us.

    I’ve been playing Final Fantasy games since the days of the NES, but there was a short period of my life where I’d stopped playing video games for a bit. I missed the PS1 era entirely, and didn’t get back into the series again until FFX. So I can’t rate the nostalgia factor.

    Taking the game in on its own though, I absolutely love it! It is looks incredible, it is fun, and it’s everything I ever dreamed this series could ever be. It is worth every penny!

    There are a few tiny blemishes that stop me from saying “this is the greatest game I’ve ever played or will ever play,” but I will pay full pop for the next title in the series without a bit of hesitation. If you enjoyed Remake add this to your library as soon as you can.

    I have been anticipating playing this game so bad that I couldn't wait for a PC release. I actually went out and bought a ps5, just for this game. I don't regret my decision so far.

    At the moment, I'm about 13 hours into the game and I still have not left the first area. The map is massive and there are tons of side quests and mini games to do. You will lose yourself for hours just exploring and doing the side quests.

    I think my favorite addition so far to this game is the crafting system that they implemented. I didn't know I needed a crafting system in my final fantasy game, but I'm glad that it was included. Though, it does make me feel like I'm wasting my money when I actually buy stuff from a shop in the game haha.

    The battle system is similar to final fantasy 7 remake, but they've extended it so there's more you can do. There's a new system called synergy attacks which allow you to partner up with other people in the battle unless you want to leave some devastatingly strong attacks.

    The visuals are beautiful, but if you look close you can see a very low draw distance for high detailed objects. It's tears of the kingdom bad because it's just a few feet in front of cloud you can see a solid line of stuff loading in constantly and that is a little distracting. Once you get playing the game though, you stop noticing it pretty quickly. Some of the textures as well are pretty awful. They look like they belong on a PS2 or early PS3 title because they are so blurry in low textured.

    If you played final fantasy 7 rebirth on your PS4, you can transfer the data from your PS4 to your PS5 and it will actually give you the summon Leviathan, and if you have played final fantasy 7 integrated on the ps5, this will give you the summon Rahma. Unfortunately, if you played integrate on PC like I did, you get Jack all. Square, for whatever reason decided they did not want to have some sort of code or account integration so you could pull the extra rewards from the PC version. This quite frankly annoyed me because I wasn't going to buy remake for a third time just to get a summon in rebirth. Do better square enix!

    Still though, those minor issues aside this game is phenomenal. The only thing I hate is the adopted price of having to pay over $100 for a single game nowadays. The game is great, the price is steep.

    This was a great game. There's so many different little mini games and distractions to the core game. The card game and base management minigames were quite good.

    The only complaint about the game is that the mountainous regions are kinda annoying to navigate.

    Wish they didn't space these out so much between parts... but I've been happy so far.
