    One of the last great American fairy tales/fables. Must see, the scene where 'doc leaves the field still makes me cry like a baby. Recommended at all price points, but on sale its a must-buy.
    Disk package is so-so. 4K image quality is good, the disk did skip at a couple points, but opening and closing tray fixed it. The liner inside the case was cut wrong, resulting in it being crumpled. Had to take it out, cut it and put it back. Annoying, but probably a production error one-off.

    I had this on blu-ray but I thought the upgrade to 4k on my OLED 65 inch would be worth it. It did, I did the test by comparing the 2 versions and there's definitely a good improvement imagewise, the picture is clearer, colors are more lively and the detail is better. I was gladly surprised by the sound improvement from the HD 5.1 Master Audio on the blu-ray to the DTS-X on the 4K edition. The beautiful score by James Horner comes alive and If you built it he will come seems to come from heaven itself and sounds clearer and deeper. The upgrade to 4K is worth the price.

    I really like this movie I finally replaced my LaserDisc with this 4K version. The DTS X soundtrack is a great improvement with the music and The Voice "If you build it, he will come." Coming from all speakers including ceiling speakers which gives you the intended effect that you cannot tell where the voice is coming from.

    Aber Gott sei Dank kann man mittlerweile die alten Klassiker auf Bluray oder besser noch auf 4K erwerben.

    Die UHD bietet einigerma?en gutes 4K Bild mit leichten Filmkorn. Ab und an schwankt die Sch?rfe. Das HDR kommt aber vor allem bei den Nachtaufnahmen gut heraus.

    Ton auf DTS HD Master in 7.1 und in guter Qualit?t.

    Auf jeden Fall lohnenswert in 4K

Er dient auf effektvolle Weise als bewegendes Drama ¨¹ber die Macht der Tr?ume, als Ode an die sch?nste Nebensache der Welt des Amerikaners sowie als brillante Adaption des ausgezeichneten Baseball-Romans Shoeless Joe von W.P.Kinsella. Kinsella selbst empfand den Film als erfreuliche ?berraschung, der von seinem Roman zwar erheblich abwich, aber dennoch stark von seinen eigenen kreativen Variationen profitierte. Es war der Film, der Kevin Costners Status als uramerikanischer Leinwandstar zementierte -- aber die Geschichte lebt von weitaus mehr als nur Costners attraktiver Ausstrahlung.
