Don't get me wrong this thing looks awesome, the red dot is perfectly usable. However, something is seriously misaligned inside the magnifier, when I scroll up to 5x magnification everything, including the dot, becomes blurry, elongated, and skews off to the lower right and something inside the magnifier becomes visible through the lens like a ring blocking out the edges. The rear diopter adjusts fine and can compensate for some of the clarity but after following the guide closely, the issue I'm having clearly isn't fixable.
Just buy a simple red dot sight, don't buy into this gimicky set up unless you're prepared to maybe lose the money. It's was delivered in like 3 days flat, EXTREMELY impressive, I see now that it's because someone from fed ex put it in the hold of a dog fighter jet and ejected it while flying over my local fed ex outlet. Would've been nice to see how this set up worked, it's a cool concept.

Purchased this combo because I wanted to use the items together... Who would have thought...

The mounting plate that comes on the sight are the short mount that doesn't line up with the magnifier, fine, I'll swap it myself, except the screws were WAY too tight, like red locktite tight, bending the wrench tight. Instead of stripping the heads, I return it and order another kit.

Second kit arrives, screws actually come out, wonderful... Except the higher mount riser has a thinner plate and the provided screws bottom out in the sight when mounting it, the whole sight rattles and is loose on the mount it was apparently designed for due to this.

I used a machinist file to shorten the screws so now it will actually screw down snug and mount correctly. Out of 2 kits, nothing would allow me to use this product as it was designed, this is ridiculous. Total nonsense, I cannot understand how this product is reviewed so highly when there's no way I can conceive this working out of the box without messing with it.

I returned these. They aren't great, but if you only have a couple hundred bucks to spend on a red dot / magnifier combo these will work.
Pretty sure the ones I got had been returned already before.
They were scratched on the mounting hardare and smudged on the lenses.
After mounting and looking through these I decided it was worth spending the money on the Athlon set with 5x magnifier

Sent this back beginning of Oct and it's been 30 days still no refund. Not sure what's taking so long, but this experience doesn't make me want to deal with this company again.

Came well packaged and is easy to set up on the rails. Using the combo together, the magnifier has moderately harsh eye relief, but that's relatively standard. Kit comes with all the tools needed to adjust placement as well. Coating is coating, as I've already scratched it, but why have it look like you've never used it? haha.

Only "major" complaint is that when using the dot sight and the magnifier jointly, the optic is skewed to the lower right. Hence the 4-star (since we want the sight combo to work 'right'). However, I could chalk it up to rail alignment. I will be taking the sight/magnifier combo out to a field test in a few days and update the review.

*Update*
Dot alignment between sight and magnifier was definitely just an issue with rails or how I attached them in the first place. Was able to reseat the product and it was fixed up. 5 stars. Also do want to add that adjusting the up/down/left/right of the dot is super easy and that the dot sight is really crisp. I have a bit of astigmatism but the dot doesn't even flare out like street lamps at night. Great product.

This took so long to get here, but it was so worth it. I naturally use this on my airsoft gas blow back rifle and it holds up very well. I'm pretty rough in the field with it too. I had an easy time zeroing the dot in at 10yrds. The only gripe I have about this is the eye relief on the magnifier. It's so-so, you gotta fish around a little for a full sight picture however the optic itself is clear and can magnify well. Easy mounting instructions, and comes with everything you need to mount the optic on any rifle. Judging by the comments/videos on youtube probably airsoft (bb), airgun (pellet) or .22LR is extent of this optic, any bigger forces will off-set the zero. Watch some youtube reviews to really make your decision.

I like the setup. The Red dot is better than the magnifier. The screws in the swing mount for the magnifier are extremely difficult to turn even before they tighten the magnifier. It is necessary to remove the low base of the red dot and install the tall mount so it aligns with the magnifier. Well, the screws are too long and must be cut down or a shim placed between the red dot and the mount.
Range Day: The setup worked well on the Ruger 10/22 takedown. Eye relief with the magnifier was a bit unwieldy. The red dot worked as expected. For this asking price it is worth it to me. Certainly not Eotech.

Update: I am installing the second red dot and magnifier and am having the same issues plus the screws holding the magnifier in the mount are extremely difficult to turn. If not for the screw problems I would rate this much higher.
