I initially liked this laminator after laminating a couple of sheets, until I needed to laminate several printed documents in a row. 9 to be exact.

Firstly, this thing can't stay hot enough to do several documents in a row. All the lights start cycling through & blinking if you happen to try to laminate more than a couple of documents. It's then necessary to shut it off & wait a significant amount of time for it to cool down before it can be used again. This is a time waster & a deal breaker.

The second serious deal breaker: the support which is supposed to allow the laminated items to slide out & sit on it as they come out of the back end of this thing is a piece of junk. The items get caught on it, causing the warm laminated sheets to seriously buckle & crease. It's nothing more than a thin, poorly designed piece of &^$! wire. Trying to even get it in the holes it's supposed to fit in is absolutely futile. I had to run several of the laminated items through the machine again - 2 more times each - in order to fix this issue. It was that, or throw them out because the printed items I laminated were completely deformed.

I'm going to send this unit back. I can see wanting to toss it in a ditch within the next few uses. Glad I decided to really test it out in a typical, day-to-day manner as I would need to use it for my business because it just doesn't cut it. I wouldn't use it for business - my intended purpose - or even for crafting. Definitely NOT in a classroom situation which might require multiple pieces to be laminated in a short period of time.

This laminator is so easy to use! And it does a great job! Very straightforward. It is quick to warm up and recover, the indicator light lets you know if it is ready to feed the sheet through. I was doing extra heavy cardstock and it sealed almost to edge of the paper, which is something I had trouble with on a different brand in the past. This laminator is one I can use periodically and not have to go through the learning process all over again since it is very clear and easy to begin with! I would buy this again.

I like the wide feed tray insert because I was able to feed two images into it simultaneously, saving a great deal of time. It heats up quickly and accepts 3ml and 5ml laminate pouches. It worked very well with a generic brand of laminate pouches, saving money not having to purchase the name brand pouches. So far, so good. Hopefully it'll continue to work well for a long time.

It’s works good if you can deal with the noise but it definitely shouldn’t sound like that.

I’ve had Fellowes products before and never had this problem but I guess I ended up getting a bad unit.

I don’t have the original packaging so I can’t exchange it otherwise I would.

I’m sure 99% of them are good I just ended up with one that might of gotten damaged in shipping or was faulty from factory.

Just keep your boxing and make sure it doesn’t sound like this before you throw it out and get stuck with it.
