Comes in a serviceable gift box (purple with gold print) although it also came with an inventory sticker and skid marks from �鶹��'s shipping conveyor belt. Mug looks to be of good quality, although it has no markings on the bottom about compatibility with microwaves and dishwashers. It is useable with both, as indicated on the box, if the gift recipient takes the time to notice. It got this for myself to boost my own ego but would have been pleased to receive it as a gift.
