    Après avoir vu la main de ma soeur se faire charcuter par une mandoline à légumes, et une amie qui s’est sectionnée des tendons de la main avec un couteau trop aiguisé, je suis très conscient des dangers de cuisiner.

    Des fois lorsqu’on veut couper des légumes avec des outils hyper-coupants, et qu’on va vite et avec un manque d’expérience, on risque de se blesser les doigts. J’apprécie donc cette planche à découper en bois, qui possède plusieurs systèmes de protection afin d’éviter les blessures. Chaque item est bien pensé et fonctionne très bien pour les gens avec un handicap ou même les enfants supervisés par un parent qui veulent apprendre les joies de cuisiner en toute sécurité.

    On obtient une planche de qualité. Petit truc: on évite les planches à découper en plastique car à la longue, des petits bouts de plastique se retrouvent dans nos aliments et on les ingère. Pas super pour la santé. Vaut mieux le bois.

    La mandoline est fournie avec différentes têtes de coupe bien effilées, et flotte en angle afin de permettre aux morceaux de s’accumuler sous la tête de coupe.

    Sécuritaire et bien pensé. C’est un bon produit.

    My beautiful bride of 30 years suffered a stroke back in 2015 that left her with the use of just one hand. I’ll admit that I didn’t have a proper appreciation for just how many things in life require two hands to make them work.

    This cutting board makes life muuuuuuch easier. It’s a clever design, with a “stabby thing” that you can impale vegetables or meat upon to hold it in place while cutting, and a built-in mandolin gadget that is part of the board and won’t flop around during use. The “stabby thing” has a heavy cover to keep from impaling yourself, and it’s just generally nicely designed piece of gear.

    This is a wonderful rig for anyone who only has one hand to operate with. *RECOMMENDED*

    Be careful if you buy this when it comes out of the box it is very dangerous. I cut my wrist on the four nails pounded up from the bottom that I suppose is to hold a potato or fruit so you can cut it. The potato peeler has no way to turn the blade side down, so I also sliced my finger on that. I do notrecommend it to anyone especially someone with only one useful hand. Very heavy too.
