    It's amazing, I love this piece of collection so much. I dreamed of having one since I was a little kid playing the first fallout games and this is a wish that came true. It's a good quality die-cast and the plastic is very solid too. The little cushion inside is very comfortable and made from good quality materials. There are a few updates planned too (because yes, you can update your pipboy with new features) and it makes it more customizable for everyone, you can change the color of the display, add your name to the pipboy and even more to come. The customer service is also very great.

    I 100% recommand it if you're a fallout fan as this might be one of the greatest pip-boy replica out there.

    Kam einen Tag früher an, wie geplant.
    Der Pip-Boy 3000 Mk V ist dem aus der Serie Fallout nachempfunden, so viel sollte ja schon mal bekannt sein.
    Seit meinen Fallout-Spielen wollte ich schon immer mal einen Pip-Poy als Replika haben.
    Spätesten jetzt musste ich daher zuschlagen.
    Leider ist an dem Pip-Boy nicht alles perfekt - dazu aber später mehr

    PRO:
    Das Design ist wirklich gut gelungen und obwohl man lt. Hersteller diesen "Alterungseffekt" am Gehäuse entfernen kann, macht es für mich optisch so viel mehr her.
    Der Pip-Boy kann als Uhr, Radio, zum Cosplayen - und natürlich als reiner Deko-Gegenstand super verwendet werden und sieht ganz nebenbei auf meinem Regal einfach cool aus.
    Die zahlreichen Animationen auf dem Bildschirm bringen sofort Ödland-Feeling ins Zimmer.
    Er passt perfekt auf meinen Arm...wobei das Gewicht schon spürbar ist.
    Zum aufstellen verwende ich natürlich den Ständer.
    Die Tonqualität des Radios ist gut - und mit einem leichten Knister-Effekt versehen, welches Fallout Feeling mit sich bringt.
    Man kann zwischen den normalen Radiosendern wählen - oder auf dem Gerät befindliche.
    Die Verbindung mit dem PC und das Update des Pip-Boy geht schnell und einfach!
    Zusammenfassung

    KONTRA
    Der verbaute Akku ist meiner Erfahrung bis jetzt, leider etwas enttäuschend.
    Das Aufladen des Pip-Boy dauert ca. 4-5h. Das hört sich lange an, ist aber nicht verwunderlich, denn dass waren auch die Angaben des Herstellers. Doch die Akku-Laufzeit hält bei weitem nicht dass, welches angegeben wurde.
    Lt. Hersteller soll der Pip-Boy bei vollem Akku im ausgeschaltetem Zustand ca. 6 Monate!!! halten. Ansonsten bietet der voll aufgeladene Akku (Angaben lt. Hersteller) etwa 8h Bildschirmzeit (oder 4h Bildschirmzeit bei eingeschalteten Radio)
    Nun zu meinem Gerät:
    Ich hatte an einem Dienstag die Lieferung erhalten. Am Mittwoch habe ich das Gerät erstmals aufgeladen. Dieser Vorgang dauerte etwas über 4h. Soweit so gut
    Im Anschluss habe ich die Menüs und Radio kurz getestet. Danach habe ich das Gerät ausgeschaltet!!! weil ich unter anderem den Pip-Boy am Wochenende meiner Schwester zeigen wollte.
    Der Akku-Balken ist nicht sichtbar retour gegangen.
    Am Samstag schaltete ich das Gerät wieder ein - und der Akku war total leer.
    Also hat der Akku im ausgeschaltetem Zustand gerade mal 2-3 Tage gehalten.
    Ich weiß jetzt nicht, ob ich ein Defektes Gerät erhalten habe.
    Beim zweiten mal voll aufladen hielt der Akku wenigstens eine gute Woche!
    - Akku hält nicht das was er verspricht
    - auch im ausgeschaltetem Zustand bereits nach spätestens ca. 7 Tagen Akku leer (bei mir)

    Absolutely LOVE this product, I can’t wait for season 2, as rewatching season 1 was so much fun with this thing on (yes I’m a geek like that) with the proper painting techniques you can make it look exactly like it does in the show, I think the developer said there’s 1 seam line that is different from what you see on the show? I can’t even tell which line he means, it is flawless, and so many of the screens are the exact ones you see in the show which is so much fun especially when watching with friends. I currently use it as my bedside alarm clock and couldn’t be happier with it, it feels sturdy, of course the back is all plastic but I am the worst at taking care of things and have used it a bunch with no scratches or issues. The radio is hit and miss, but I’m sure there are modders among the fan base that can remedy that. I also love that they update it via a website and hard link to your computer. Speaking of which, it is my new favorite tool when doing video editing on my computer, there is a mode that lets you use some of the knobs and buttons to interface somewhat and the inputs are perfect for video editing imo. It is crazy comfortable to wear, and that is also easily modified as well without damaging it if you need a size up or down. I’m roughly 180lbs and it fits me well, though I do have slender wrists for my frame. If you’re on the fence I highly recommend buying this before they get wise and jack up the price, as I can totally see them doing with the popularity of this IP. Just price check the older ones and see how they stack up, while this one is sized right to actually be worn and look cool. I added some model paint to mine to give it more of a realistic feel, though my skill is pretty limited in that capacity, I’m pretty happy with the results. Some rust, dirt, and bloody fingerprints fit right in to the aesthetic I think 😂

    This is a really well constructed replica of the Pip-Boy from the 鶹 series. The front fascia is die-cast metal, whereas the rest of the unit besides the fastening clasp is plastic. There is a quickly applied black paint for the purpose of weathering, but the manufacturer states that this can be removed if preferred.

    On powering up, the Geiger counter lights up and so does the tuning window for the FM radio. Disappointingly, there are no music stations like in the games, just a brief introduction to a short sample of some violin playing. You can however, tune into actual radio stations but the reception is limited and getting a station to come up that plays pre-1950’s songs will be hit and miss.

    The display is fantastic. Numerous animations and info from the series is here and there is also an option to update the unit via the supplied cable when hooked up to a pc. The internal battery lasts for up to 8 hours, but can be recharged quite easily. Also, you can leave the unit on its supplied stand (which is solid metal) and plugged in so it can be used as an alarm clock. You can wake up to a few sound effects or the FM radio.

    This is a great cosplay or display replica, and quite compact compared to the one that came with the Fallout 4 collector’s edition. It’s also got a good weight without being too heavy to wear and has comfy pads to secure it on your wrist. These pads can also be removed if your forearm is thicker than average.

    All in all, a great replica and well worth the money.
