The maximum output voltage: 28V.
Efficiency: <= 93%.
(Minimum) (input-output) difference voltage when input is at (2 V and 50% of max-input-V), loading at (50% and 100 full rated current).
Product Size: 36 x 17 x 14 mm/1.44 x 0.68 x 0.56 in(L*W*H)
package include: 5pcs MT3608 DC-DC Step Up Power Apply Module
Warm Prompt:
This is a step-up converter. Only used to raise voltage, not to lower voltage. so the output voltage should be higher than the input voltage.
Please turn the potentiometer clockwise by more than 10 turns before test.
Cannot select the maximum value of voltage and current as the output at the same time. When the output voltage is increased, the output current is reduced accordingly.
Do not use without load or light load (less than 10% of output power) or connect too much things on one module.
The input voltage should not exceed the maximum input voltage.
The peak current output current no more than TV university.

EspoirReviewed in the United States on June 25, 20234.0 out of 5 stars Simple way to generate a higher voltage, but be prepared for added noise.
I bought these out of a need to increase the voltage in a system with mixed analog and digital sections. The digital portion generates a lot of noise that bleeds into the 5v analog section, so it is necessary to create a separately regulated 5v bus that is only for the analog circuitry.
The noise on the stepped-up output voltage from these modules is not insignificant and consists of a stair-step component whose amplitude and frequency are dependent on the required output voltage. Adding to the stair-step are noise spikes at each transition. This noise cannot be mitigated by the use of simple output filtering. However if the voltage is stepped up high enough to accommodate the drop-out voltage of a high-PSRR regulator, you can obtain a clean output with minimal filtering. You would still need to make sure that any noise generated within this voltage step-up and regulator circuit does not radiate or conduct into the areas where it can still create a problem.
I find these modular switching boost and/or buck power modules to be extremely useful to have on hand for a variety of projects. They are simple to use and inexpensive. I only downrated this by one star because of the output noise, but I'm not sure it's reasonable to expect better from something this simple. In general I think its a good product worth buying as long as you understand that you may need added circuitry.
Berq BerqelsonReviewed in the United States on June 21, 20232.0 out of 5 stars Good thing it's a FIVE pack...
I need to convert the 20 volts from a DeWalt battery to 24 volts for powering an LED light strip. These looked like they'd be just what I needed, AND I'd have four extra when I was done! So I hooked everything up to test the output voltage, and immediately the tiny IC emitted a bright flash of light and let out its magic smoke. I consulted the product description, since the item itself comes with no documentation whatsoever. It said to turn the adjustment screw clockwise at least 10 rotations before applying an input voltage, and to NEVER power it up without some kind of load.
Super helpful tip. Thanks, guys. I appreciate you making this essential information so easy to find with hardly any digging whatsoever.
So I connected it to a ceramic 1.5 kOhm resistor on the output side in conjunction with my multimeter, turned on the power, and immediately burned up my SECOND board.
Someone more electronically savvy than me can probably make good use of all five of these boards. Apparently, though, I'm too STUPID to connect it properly. It just seemed to me like a bad idea to connect an unknown output voltage to my LED strip. But without a proper test load (and who knows what THAT is, because the documentation certainly doesn't tell you), there's no good way of dialing in the desired output voltage.
Catch 22.
So, yeah, maybe I AM the problem. But maybe, just maybe, this board is way too finicky for most applications and users.
