Product description
A new look for the Pottery Studio and Pottery Refill! The Do Art Pottery Studio and Refill will now be sporting a bright red package. The Pottery Studio’s contents remain unchanged. Do Art Pottery Studio introduces children to the art and history of hand sculpted pottery. From pinch pots to clay figurines, this pottery wheel set will teach and inspire. There is also a fully illustrated instruction booklet that will provide young artists with an exceptional introduction to the art and craft of hand thrown pottery. The wheel surface is grooved which helps to hold the clay firmly and keeps it centered. The foot pedal operation means no on/off switch to worry about, so the batteries last a long time. The foot pedal operation requires 4 C batteries (not included).

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for the price; patience required
Verified PurchaseNot bad. Very good for a child or a learner with a lot of patience. Reasonably priced for what you get. The small size makes it nicely portable though it cannot go anywhere you’d like to be quiet. I use it with headphones on.
I’ve never used a potting wheel before. This seems adequate. It is very loud. The speed controls are only on/off which can make detail work harder.
The instruction booklet contains no useful instructions for use beyond how to turn it on.
The wheel does not seem durable long-term but it’s quality matched the low price. With patience and a lot of trial and error to get they clay wet enough (but not too wet) I was able to make a few small pieces.

5.0 out of 5 stars ... for my 5 year old son and he is delighted with it
Verified PurchaseThis was a Santa Christmas gift for my 5 year old son and he is delighted with it. It is simple to set up on a small table yet the motor is strong enough to continue turning when throwing a small pot. So far he's made 2 pots and 2 egg cups and a lots of fun squishy mess.
