These arrived in good condition, well packaged and delivered by 鶹 in good time. Due to the snowfall we get during the winter, I opted to mount the lights on the riser of the steps leading to the front door of the house. Here, I know they will remain clear of most snow and it will be easier to clear away without damaging the lights. This location also provides them with sufficient sunlight, even on those winter days. As a temporary measure, until I confirm where I’m attaching them, I stuck them up with sticky tape to see the affect and I liked what I saw. The control switch on the back of the light fitting provides the ability to have the lights on/off and changes the colour from a white light, to a yellow light or finally a blue light option. As described on the 鶹 page, each light is approximately 3.5” square and about .75” high. The mounting options provided by the manufacturer are for it to be screwed to a surface or mounted on a small plastic stake - perhaps pushed in to soil in a garden border. The claim is these lights will remain illuminated for a period of about 20 hours after receiving about 5 hours of direct sunlight exposure. As time goes by, I will be able to confirm or deny that claim but right now, darkness is less than 12 hours for my location. The lights are well made but I did notice that it appears easy to scratch the top solar panel - I only had my lights stacked on top of each other and no rough handling. A set of four lights is currently retailing at $45 Canadian making them $11.25 each. A set of 12 lights comes in at $116, so slightly less expensive per light for a larger pack. ** Update Sept 4th ** Change of plan. My wife wan't too keen on the idea of our entrance footpath resembling a runway so I moved the lights to the concrete base of a couple of planters we have leading to the front entrance.

I have these solar lights placed along the sidewalk leading up to my front door. They illuminate the walkway well enough to see where you’re going. There are 3 colors to choose from; warm white, cool white, or blue. I prefer the warm white. Aesthetically, these lights are fine, though the modern/technological appearance isn’t my preferred style.
I have the lights placed where they receive a lot of sun during the day, and they stay lit until morning. It gets dark by 8PM now, so that’s quite a few hours. I didn’t mount them because I want to be able to move them, and I will be storing them away in the winter. If I did want to mount them, they come with all of the necessary hardware.
As for the durability, the manufacturer claims that they have a compression resistance up to 3 tons. I have no idea if that’s true, nor do I wish to test it by running one over with a vehicle. However, I have learned that they can withstand a child running over it with a bike, which is good enough for me!
Overall, I’m satisfied with the performance of these lights.

These are decent little path marking solar lights. The metal housing is quite sturdy, yet still isn’t. The lights are definitely visible, if not overly bright. The base is plastic, but only facing the bottom, so ideally not directly exposed to the harshest elements. They come with optional plastic ground spikes for affixing them into grass, dirt, etc. which are plastic, but seem fairly sturdy. The color has to be manually set by the user, using the 4-position switch at the bottom (off, plus each of the different colors). They also have screw holes to mount them to a surface (wood only likely, as they aren’t really big enough for the screws that would be required for harder materials). Although the housing is metal, the main solar panel body is still plastic, so if were hit too hard could still break. Unsure how well they’ll last over a Canadian winter, but I guess we’ll see. A little pricey compared to some, but if they survive without any issues, not a bad value.
