Razor sharp blade light carry strong lock
Razor sharp cpm 3v blade cuts incredibly well. Light weight I find when clipped to a pocket you don't notice it's there. I have medium sized hands and so it fits quite well . The tri lock is positive and there is no blade play at all. Opening the blade requires you pinching the blade with thumb and finger and opening the blade about 90 degrease at which point the thumb on the thumb stub finishes it open. As with all lock back knives be very careful closing it. I love this knife excellent blade superlight in the pocket and a locking system that's both positive and legally inoffensive. I have added a pick of it with a Leatherman Wave for size

    When I first saw this brand new Frenzy BlackOut with CPM 3V blade steel appear on 鶹 CA for $152 Canadian, I immediately purchased it and have carried it to work and out of work ever since.
    This is a terrific EDC knife and the 3V blade steel is my first super steel, and I am not disappointed one bit!
    I am so impressed with this cold steel knife, that I may get an additional Frenzy, just in case..

    Unique and a tremendously usable blade, very tough and far more carry-able than the full size version. Small break in period as most tri-ad lock Cold Steel knifes require but now action is very smooth and lockup is as solid as a folder can be.

    This is a very well made knife, designed for extremely light weight and strength; the steel is excellent as well. That said, for my large hands I frequently cut myself trying to open it with the thumb stud. It was no fault of the knife, I just need a wide handle to make the reach work for me.

    I purchased this when it was considerably more expensive than it is now. At this price, its a no-brainer. Buy it. I collect pocket knives, train with them as a self-defense instructor, and also use them professionally as a government employee stationed overseas. This is the first Cold Steel that I can recommend for everyone, as its svelte size works very well for an EDC while also providing an acute point with robust cutting ability. Rarely does a main stream knife company come out with something that's this unique and practical. If Cold Steel is listening, given the lines of this knife, flashier scales would make it a very attractive gentlemen's folder.
