I like to think of myself as a tea connoisseur. I love blending herbs and spices and dehydrated fruits and flowers into tasty blends. I’ve always made these concoctions in a standard glass teapot on top of the stove. I stumbled across this magnificent tool on �鶹�� and, can now exclaim:

This is a fantastic tea maker. It’s high-quality, easy to clean, and brings things up to a perfect temperature that you can choose to maintain for two hours! What a great buy, and it’s made my teas even better! You can even use it to make coffee.

The main thing I like about this kettle/electric teapot is that the base displays the water temperature at its exact degree. You can also manually set it to any temperature between 104f - 212f, plus it has a range of preset options. In addition, I chose it because there isn't plastic touching the water during heating, and I prefer glass over metal for a variety of reasons.

I primarily want it to heat water to specific temperatures to make individual cups of tea, and for baking, so only heat water in it. But it does seem like it would be easy enough to clean if you use it to make pots of tea in it. Though in the future it might get downgraded to an electric teapot vs my main water kettle due to some of the below-mentioned issues.

The good:
- The temperature reads to the degree, checked against my quick-read thermometer and the kettle seems to read very accurately.
- Has a wide range of preset temperatures, or you can choose your custom temperature anywhere between 104f - 212f. Great for people who want to brew tea at specific and consistent temperatures, or warm water to specific temperatures for baking and recipes.
- Easy to turn on and off keep warm feature for various times.
- Easy to turn on and off notice beeps.
- All glass and stainless steel where water touches during heating.
- Paid $80 after taxes etc, which I feel is a reasonable price for what it is and what I wanted, which was mainly versatility and accuracy in temperature control, no plastic touching heating water, and preferably a glass pitcher.
- Customer service was responsive to messages and questions. Was offered the option of a $20 discount or return for a full refund due to cosmetic imperfections and the wrong wattage advertised at the time of purchase.

The bad:
- It's only 1,200 watts (listing claims 1,500 at time of purchasing), which makes it noticeably slower to bring water to temperature compared to 1,500-watt kettles.
- Temperature only shows in fahrenheit, no way to change it to celsius (verified with manufacturer). Just why.
- It's a noisy kettle. The clicking sound you hear after you turn it on always happens again every few seconds once the water reaches about 20 degrees below its set temperature but it's still heating. The clicking is quite loud and noticeable, it sounds like the heating element is turning on and off repeatedly instead of staying on until it reaches its set temperature. If that's the case, the kettles heating element might not last as long as other kettles that simply stay on until they reach the set temperature. This is a factor for me as I use my kettle multiple times a day already, plus always around where I am at the time and the sound is noticeable and unpleasant. This also makes the last bit of heating much slower than the start.
- Arrived with visible cosmetic scratches on the top side of the base and part of the "M" of "custom temp" is missing.

This is a really nice kettle without a doubt! The quality of everything feels solid and heavy.
My first kettle I got would leak water all over my counter when I left water overnight after getting ahold of the seller who wonderfully replaced it quickly I realized the defective one have a botched silicone seal at the bottom of the kettle
compared to my replacement.

After getting my replacement and trying this kettle at its full potential I can say this it’s an amazing kettle! I love having full control and the twist knob makes it easier to change my temp compared to the models were you keep tapping a button to change the temp.
The screen is bright and legible not cheap and pixelated so A+ lol… I did find that the reviews where a correct when they said it’s a slightly slower boil time however it’s
1.) going to help the kettle last longer and
2.) be less harsh on the tea if your planning on using the tea infuser

All in all yeah I’d DEFINITELY recommend this kettle for its looks and quality of the metals on it.
better then any Walmart or crappy-tire kettles I’ve had throughout my life without a doubt.
