    Only thing is you have to check the other people’s review for the right tool to install! I was using 1/2 socket based on the instructions and couldn’t right the nut at all! And the other reviews mentioned 7/33 drill bit and 13mm socket to tighten the nuts. One star off for the hustle from instructions

    My tires weigh around 75 pounds, si I had to install these posts rather low as I cannot lift the tires and wheels (Tesla X) at arms length. I used tire totes but it is more for cosmetic than protection. The posts are angled so that the tires will not come off.

    I had a 2 foot wide strip of plywood that I mounted to my wall first so to prevent damage to the drywall. Then I mounted the hangers to the wall /plywood in line with the studs.
    The only things I did slightly different from the instructions was I used a 7/32 drill bit (not 1/4" which seemed too big) and a 13mm socket (not a 1/2" which was a bit tight).
    The only way I could think to make this product better would be to rubber coat the posts to prevent the possibility of scratches. (I used some black gorilla tape (I had))

    We ended up choosing this method of hanging/storing our seasonal tires for a few reasons: 1.) even though you need more open/clear wall space to use this application, it was a better choice for us as the weight being hung is of each individual tire rather than a rack holding 4 tires (peace of mind). 2.) when the tires are flat against the wall, in a tight garage, they project out and over the vehicles less than a rack holding 4 tires, which also provides peace of mind. These are very solid; sturdy; aesthetically pleasing and a great choice for smaller garages.
