A 5.5 inch monitor that gives you a bunch of high end features, touchscreen display, and an aluminum housing for an amazing price. I have this monitor on my overhead rig while using a quick release plate on one of the 3 included 1/4 inch threads. The display is bright and very accurate with its color and I feel confident in recording what I see from there.
It’s super slim and comfortable to have on a camera rig or how I have it on a magic arm. Features HDMI in and out, USB-C for power but also takes a NP battery which comes with one included. There is also a case that comes with extra cables and to store the battery, the spot for the monitor is a bit too large in my opinion and when closed you can hear and feel the monitor move inside the carrying case.
Tapping the screen for brightness, volume and even navigating the menus are some of the easiest and best I’ve used so far. From false colors, built in luts, and even viewing different aspect ratios helps when creating vertical content from long form video. I also love the battery being centered as it adds a bit of stability when docked.
My only gripe is it does not come with a monitor hood but it is bright enough for indoor use and just enough for outdoor if you’re not directly in the sun. This has been the best monitor I’ve used at this price point for sure.
