A nice addition to my camera strap. I have the PD slide with the anchors but it's still a bit cumbersome to release the camera if you want to mount the camera on a tripod or just hold the camera if the strap is getting in the way. With this it slides into the clamp securely and releases with the push of the button and if you have a quick release clamp on the tripod it snaps into place quickly making the whole process seamless. Another advantage is the since the plate is mounted to the tripod screw the camera faces lens down and rests better against you body. With the PD anchors the lens points outward and is more likely to bang into things or hang awkwardly if you have a telephoto lens.
