Extreme Max Folding 4-Step Pontoon Ladder: Stop your struggle! The Extreme Max Folding 4-Step Ladder makes climbing into your pontoon from the water a breeze; no more of the awkward climbing that leaves you exhausted and scrapped up from the side of your boat. The 4-Step Ladder extends into the water to provide a secure helping hand and an easy exit from the lake.

One of the most compact pontoon ladders you will find, the Extreme Max Folding 4-Step Ladder collapses down to a tight 29" x 15.5" x 3.5" to keep it out of the way when not in use.

Tuck it under the helm or behind a seat when you don't need it, unfold it and install it in just seconds when you do!

All mounting hardware is included for your convenience!

Two mounting cups insert into your pontoon deck where you want to place the ladder. Built to lie flush to the deck, there will be no stubbed toes.

Making for the simplest of installations, the 4-Step Ladder slides directly into the mounting cups and is held firmly for as long as you need it to be. Once finished, lift the ladder out of the mounting holes and be on your way!

Lightweight, sturdy and compact, the Folding 4-Step Pontoon Ladder from Extreme Max Products helps you make the most of your play days on the lake. The easy-to-install ladder mounts into the deck of your pontoon through the provided mounting cups, giving a firm grip to support the ladder, but also allowing for a quick smooth removal when it is no longer needed. When fully positioned the ladder extends 37” down from the deck of the pontoon. Supported by 1’ aluminum tubing, each step features a unique built-in grip surface that minimalizes the risk of slipping while climbing the ladder. When the fun is done, the ladder slides out of the mounting cups and folds down to a compact 29” x 15.5” x 3.5”, allowing it to remain out of the way until future uses. Note: The Folding 4-Step Pontoon Ladder is not intended for permanent mounting and should be use only when the pontoon is fully stopped with the engine off. Never attempt to attach or use the ladder while the pontoon is in motion.

    I mounted this ladder on a deep V fibreglass 18.5 foot runabout. It takes about 45 minutes. You need a 1 3/8 hole saw and 1/8 twist drill and soime 3m 4200 or equivilent. Have a good look at it before you drill the holes. I mounted this ladder on the starboard side at the rear of the boat. You can go to another style of transom ladder for the rear of the boat if you do not have trim tabs and a kicker motor etc. There is also a more expensive "slide in" ladder which you can put on the transom if space is an issue. You may have to modify the ladder a little depending on your gunwhales and the shape of the hull to get the side feet to fit properly against the hull of the boat. To do this you will need to borrow a hickey from your electrian buddy and probably decrease the curvature a little for the perfect fit. All in all for the price and construction this is a pretty decent little ladder which is a good saftey feature to have in case you get tipsy and fall out of the boat.

    The installation instructions that came with the ladder does not provide a lot of detail and before instal it appeared obvious the ladder hooks are on a angle the does not match the angle of the mounting cups. I called Extreme Max for more details, unfortunately the representative I spoke with was not familiar with the product and in turn gave bad advice and took him over Ten days to tell me “ cup holders are mounted in wrong position”. Unfortunately they will not provide with any more details to complete instal correct.
