Depending on your brand of motherboard you likely have an OEM wifi antenna that is less than useful. If, for example, you own an Asus board from the last while you will have received one of the classic whale tail antennas that slots awkwardly into its base and is magnetized just enough to give a hint that it wants to stick to your case.

This does not have that issue. The magnet in the base is plenty strong to attach to the top or sides of a case with the antenna clicked into any of the handful of notches along its rotation of 180 degrees without anything moving around. Provided your case is steel, of course.

Wifi performance seemed pretty much unchanged from before, although I'm not overly far from the router. It's mostly nice having an antenna that doesn't flop over if I look at it.

The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth signal strength and integrity are as good as before. The magnets are strong enough to keep the antenna from falling off side panels.

The cord is surprisingly long at greater than 6ft.
