Built around the LSI SAS2308 controller, this HBA is a proven 6Gbps SAS/SATA solution for DIY NAS and homelab storage. In HBA IT Mode, it presents each drive directly to the OS for clean JBOD/ZFS workflows—ideal for TrueNAS/FreeNAS, unRAID, Proxmox, ESXi passthrough, and Linux/BSD/Windows Server.

The card provides PCIe 3.0 x8 bandwidth and two internal Mini-SAS SFF-8087 connectors. Out of the box, we include 2× SFF-8087 to 4× SATA breakout cables so you can direct-attach up to 8 SATA HDD/SSD immediately. Need more capacity? Add an external SAS expander to scale to larger pools while keeping management simple.

Note: The included cables are for SATA drives only. If you plan to use SAS HDDs, please use SFF-8087 to 8482 SAS cables with power (sold separately) or choose our matched HBA + cable kit.
