Is this swatter expensive as frig? Yes, yes it is. I ask you however; what price do you put on piece of mind? I had a fly around my house that was slowly driving me to madness. The kind you could swat on the ground and like Arnold Schwarzenegger in terminator this thing would get back up and fly to live on. A Wiley smart creature, fly traps didn’t work, those cheap buck store electrics didn’t work, I was about to sell the house. Defeated and looking like Heisenberg in everyone’s favourite breaking bad episode, I bit the bullet and bought “the executioner”. 3 mins after popping in 2 AA batteries this vile hell spawn was sent back to where he belongs. I drank in his honour. 5 stars

    They have no protective screen to keep bugs out. Batteries seem to last forever. Units are reasonably strong. To get a fly (works almost every time) approach insect really slowly until unit is over top of the fly two or three inches at most. Wiggle unit sideways a little and fly jumps right into bars. Usually injures it at least. Wasps etc seem easier to kill than flies.

    Gotta say, pretty disappointed with this zapper. It definitely does not live up to its namesake or match a lot of the other reviews. I put brand new high quality batteries in and when I first tested it found that it only stuns flies for about 10 seconds. If you don’t find that fly within 15 seconds, it gets up and starts flying around again! The racket does make a satisfying ‘snap’ to let you know you have hit the fly, but that’s it. Smoke and mirrors. Way too pricey for the performance it gives.
