    I had to remove one of the decorative birds that was easy to unscrew….very scary eyes😆 and I didn’t want to scare the birds. It’s a cute little bird bath that should stand up to the elements and can be easily painted if not. Fits perfectly under an ornamental tree. I believe the base material is aluminum so will wear well outdoors.

    I’m keeping it because it’s not worth the hassle off trying to send back and because it is cute.

    BUT it is NOT cast iron. Had I looked at the weight before I ordered it, I’d have realized this so it’s partially my own fault for not reading all the details. Cast iron would have weighed several times what this bath does.

    It is metal, but whatever the coating/paint is, suction cups for a solar fountain won’t stick to it so I’m on the hunt for another bird bath.

    When I got it, the box had been opened which to me is a sign of a return. Upon opening I see that one of the birds is loose, however, the bold is still in the box, so I believed it was an easy fix and did not return it. When I actually went to put it together, the bolt would not thread and it appeared the stem that had the bird attached was either cut or broken off. So, I used some adhesive to glue on the bird instead knowing it would not be returnable, but I didn’t have the desire to repackage and return. I figured I could use it without the one bird if necessary. It is made of sturdy material but not too heavy. I was pleased that the adhesive did work and I have the bird bath in my back yard ready for the wild life.

    Okay here’s the deal. It’s TRUE measurements are 18” tall NOT 37.5” or 20” as stated on the ad. From the base to the bowl it’s 18”. I went to product specifications and it says 37.5” H so when it came in I was confused as to why it’s 18” (huge difference!). I went back to the ad in in their images it shows 20” high to the tip of the birds tail (c’mon that does not count) so their product specification measurements and photo measurements are both inaccurate.
    I am disappointed because the item is VERY cute! However it’s so tiny I can’t even see it out my window it goes up to my knee lol.
