What started over a century ago has come to fruition, and somehow, two lives from opposite sides of the same conflict discover they’re fated for each other. Did the fates get it right?

Everett Fabré was thrust into a life not of his own choosing when his entire family and the majority of his pack were killed during a tragical attack on their ship during the Civil War. One of only a few survivors, he and the others set out to continue on his pack’s mission: help those in need. When fate decided to intervene and he finds himself an enforcer in the newly formed Paranormal Council, never did he expect to scent his mate during a mission. Jennings Williams’s birth pack…sucks, to put it nicely. They were the type of pack that made other paranormals immensely dislike wolf shifters.

As the oldest and only unmated of his siblings, he decided it was time for a change and set out for Timber Valley to accept a position as a teacher in the new school for their shifter children. Finding a new friend in his next-door neighbor was only a bonus. But when his neighbor’s cousin returns from a mission, sparks ignite, and canines are involved. Everett and Jennings struggle with their bond, and it’s no secret that Everett can be difficult. Will the new couple strengthen their bond in time before it’s lost? When new information is brought to light pertaining to the Evergreen pack and their involvement in the kidnapping ring is discovered, it doesn’t look good for Jennings’s parents. Can Everett be there for his new mate?

Everett is Book Five in the Paranormal Council Enforcers series. Each book in this series will focus on a different couple, but these books are not standalones and should be listened to in order as there is an ongoing backstory that won’t be resolved quickly. This is a fated mate story in an MPreg world, and there will be babies in this story. You should expect all the normal shenanigans, knotting, biting, and remember that sometimes even fated mates need a little help.

A great addition to the enforcers
Everett and Jennings are a great match. It takes them a bit to work out the kinks but they get it in the end. They deserve everything they've found with each other and I am so happy they did
They're sweet and passionate. Spicy and caring.
    It's a beautiful story.

We get to see old friends and expand on stories from previous books. It's bring everything together and opens up doors for those who are next! I can't wait

It was bittersweet seeing Everett find his mate , after the pinning and attraction that just couldn’t be returned by both brothers . The confusion it created in their relationships , his past kinda bit him when Jennings insecurities came to surface . But without a doubt Taylor gave us the HEA we all want for our fated mates and they over came there hiccups and made a home on the mountain .

I'll admit I skipped through most of this book and portions of Garic, I'm hoping Benjamin 's to include council as well as romance.

Personally this book fell flat for me because your first 20 years your parents are crap, but no abuse...well none was mentioned, but you are now over 123 years old and still blaming your parents for insecurities of not being enough and loved when your brother and his partner show you love and consideryou family for over 100 years? Nope, don't see it.

The other books contained more about the council, this one, Everett gets shot and we get barely get any information. :(

It felt this book was just to continue the series but no real effort was put in, for instance, thr cousin Alexander is all over them as a newly mated couple but seems to have disappeared once they get pregnant, which is a third through the book and you hear no more about him, even after the baby is born.

Personally I would have loved for them to be involved with the parents' sentencing to spice the book up, but oh well. If you are reading through the series you miss nor gain anything with this book.

We know Everett from Justin and Matteo's book. He is Second in Command of the Evergreen Pack
Jennings is the brother of Master Nicolais beloved Julian.

Everett is still struggling with the loss of his family in civil war, and with emotional turmoil brought on by Matteo
Jenniings only recently had to learn that his parents are not what they say they are.
He and Julian learn the truth about their parents/"adoptive parents" as the story progresses.

With Everett and Jennings, two characters meet who carry a lot of emotional baggage with them.
And it's really cute how they're doing everything they can to keep their relationship going

Of course, there are also old acquaintances, from Edison to Alexander, Ambrosius, Alpha Dane and many other people we have grown fond of

I can only repeat myself, the series gets better and better from book to book.

From the moment we met Everett and Jennings in previous books I’ve wanted each of their stories and I’m so glad we got them together! I’m absolutely in love with the world and characters Taylor Rylan has created and I truly hope it never ends!

5.0 out of 5 stars Complicated

To put it mildly, everything involving Everett and Jennings is complicated. From scenting to mating to roadblocks they put in their own way, nothing is simple or easy on the path to HEA and babies. That doesn’t even include the latest developments in the trafficking ring and the dirty secrets hidden in the Evergreen pack. I really enjoyed the bumpiness of their journey and how they consciously had to acknowledge the problems between them and put in the work to actually cement their bond.

Everett was already a complicated character all on his own because of his past and his attitude and we certainly weren’t sympathetic towards him. Everything we thought we knew about him got turned on its head by a change in perspective and suddenly it’s important for his mating to be a happy one. Jennings was a tougher nut to crack, though there was already plenty of sympathy based on his introduction in Nikolai’s Beloved. He’s almost his own worst enemy though in making his relationship with Everett difficult. Still, it took his love and understanding to bring out the best side of his mate.

4.0 out of 5 stars surprisingly sweet romance

This was an easy romantic read. Great characters as you would expect. From Everett’s previous appearances and backstory in the series I was expecting his story to be more emotionally challenging to read, but his mate Jennings quickly balanced him out. There are overarching plot lines in the interlinked series. I’m looking forward to reading about Everett’s friend Benjamin next.
