Old Beater Runs Like New Now!

Old Beater Runs Like New Now!
New belt seems smaller than the old belt but I guess the old one was stretched. The beater brush was barely running and would stall out on the old belt, at first I thought it was the motor stalling but after taking it apart I could see the motor was in excellent condition and it would be very easy for the small smooth belt shaft to slip inside of it which I guess is a safety feature. Anyway, the new belt was nice and tight and works great. Included are picture of the instructions inside my machine and how to use a screwdriver to strech the belt over to the motor shaft. Good luck and stay thirsty my friends.

    One in my vacuum powerhead broke. Less expensive than the genuine Eureka part and seems to work fine. Doesn't have the white dots, so can't see it spinning in the window, but I never paid attention to that anyway. Not sure how long the powerhead will last as all the plastic is getting cracked, but at least postpones replacing it.
