La escritura es una práctica sustancial que atraviesa todo el proceso de construcción de conocimiento, desde los primeros apuntes de ideas hasta la versión final de un texto. A través de ella, las y los cientistas sociales indagan, reflexionan y descubren. No obstante, el oficio de escribir ciencias sociales no recibió la misma atención que otros asuntos teóricos o metodológicos. Los textos reunidos aquí recuperan la experiencia formativa de los talleres de Escritura y Argumentación y del Programa de Estudios en Escritura en Ciencias Sociales de la Escuela EIDAES-UNSAM. En ellos se abordan géneros académicos y fronterizos y se presentan los desafíos del proceso de escritura en la construcción de argumentaciones, en el trabajo de campo, la edición y la intervención pública.

Un equipo integrado por docentes con recorridos profesionales diversos se propone aquí acompañar a los estudiantes en el aprendizaje de los diferentes géneros que se utilizan en la práctica universitaria a fin de mejorar sus condiciones de ingreso a los estudios superiores. Al mismo tiempo, invita a pensar el taller como un espacio de posibilidad: sacar a la escritura del lugar de maldición o de condena para situarla del lado de la creatividad, la imaginación y por eso también del placer.
